Thews40
Just curious how you Giants homers see this? I figure it's just a warning shot to Bradshaw, but for at least the first half Jacobs may make it worth a start this week. Pivotal week... tough time to gamble, but the flex spot is always a gamble anyway. (KFFL) New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs said he believes him starting is only temporary because RB Ahmad Bradshaw has the ability to make big plays with his explosiveness, reports the New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano. "Even if I go in and rush for 200 yards in each of these games, it's temporary. He is an explosive runner and I want to see him in there myself, other than anybody else. I want to see him in and see him do well. It's only going to be temporary. That's what I believe in my heart, that it is that way," Jacobs said. MustOfBeenDrunk
Wow ,,, Jacobs would rather see another player take his job ??
BARF
Wow ,,, Jacobs would rather see another player take his job ?? Zero impact. Bradshaw will be starting again next week. Jacobs is washed up. He should be used goal line and Bradshaw should get the bulk of the carries.

irish
Zero impact. Bradshaw will be starting again next week. Jacobs is washed up. He should be used goal line and Bradshaw should get the bulk of the carries. Why? From what I remember, Bradshaw has even been more effective at the GL too. CurlyDumps
I'm a Giants fan and a Bradshaw owner, full disclosure. Despite his fumbling issues, the giants need Bradshaw to win. They will struggle with Jacbos in the backfield, they won't score, and eventually they'll have to go back to Bradshaw. This Jacksonville game is a must-win. The wildcard race is too competitive. They simply cannot afford to lose this one. I think we'll see a strong performce from the D as well. Just gotta hope AB got some advice from Tiki and hangs onto the ball, because if he fumbles once he'll be watching DJ Ware from the sideline . APinMN
Well.......whats does "starting" mean? It is who is out there for the first snap. So is he the starting RB for the first snap, or even series, then Bradshaw is back to take the show or does Jacobs get the bulk of the carries for the game? I bet it is closer to the first option, Coughlin even said there is plenty of carries to go around for Bradshaw to have. Short answer, I don't think there is a whole lot of impact here. The Irish Doggy
As a Jacobs owner, he will still sit for me, but I have other good options. He's a nice play if you need the help, but I wouldn't expect an increase in production to last more than one week.
Scooby's Hubby
both teams will be running extra, windy conditions, NYG O-Line injuries, etc. Look for some receptions by Bradshaw and for both backs to get double digit carries. New left tacle for Eli this week = run right.
Dcat
Zero impact. Bradshaw will be starting again next week. Jacobs is washed up. He should be used goal line and Bradshaw should get the bulk of the carries. you're not very familiar with the Giants obviously. 1st, despite Jacobs humongous frame, Bradshaw has been by far the better goal line back. 2nd, Jacobs washed up? Bwahahahaha what are you talking bout? He will be a platoon back and a productive one for many more years. This is his 6th year in the NFL and he does not have a lot of wear and tear. He's only 28. If the Giants can have them platoon for the next 3 years, they would be delighted.
Thews40
(KFFL) New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said he was happy with how the team rotated RBs Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware during their Week 12 game, reports Mike Garafolo, of The Star-Ledger. Jacobs was on the field for five more plays than Bradshaw. Jacobs rushed for 87 yards in the game while Bradshaw rushed for 49 yards and caught four passes for 34 yards.
