Spy Gate Part Duex

The NFL is investigating whether a Broncos employee videotaped a San Francisco 49ers walk-through in Week 8 at London's Wembley Stadium.

The team's director of video operations Steve Scarnecchia is currently on a personal leave of absence as the team and NFL investigate the matter. Both Scarnecchia and Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels have previously worked for the Patriots, with McDaniels a member of the 2007 team involved in the infamous "Spygate" incident. More details can be found in the link below. Though nothing has been confirmed, we can't imagine this news helping McDaniels' job security.-- Denver Post

Maybe McMegan Fox was the mastermind behind the whole video taping.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Broncos and head coach Josh McDaniels have both been fined $50,000 for illegally taping an opponent's practice.

The Broncos were under investigation by the NFL for taping a 49ers walk-through in Week 8 in London. Team video director Steve Scarnecchia reportedly took the video and presented it to McDaniels, who declined to view it. Team officials were made aware of the incident following the team's return from London, and self reported it to the NFL. Scarnecchia has been terminated from his position and will face a possible life-time ban from the NFL. We question that Scarnecchia was working without orders from McDaniels, unless taping was something Scarnecchia had been doing all year long. The whole situation is fishy. Nov. 27 - 12:40 pm et

What's to be learned by taping any SFO practice? Just watch any regular season game:

- handoff to Gore

- handoff to Gore

- sack

- punt

---

- handoff to Gore

- checkdown pass to Gore

- incomplete short pass to Gore

- punt

???

That's probably why McDaniels refused to view that one but the rest.

It's one thing to get caught cheating in New England, where the team is continually successful and the fans could probably find a way to excuse it if you were sacrificing babies before every game.

But hell man, everyone here wants you fired, and you're losing, and you're cheating. Go away.

So hey... one of the reasons people say they won't fire McDaniels is because they don't want to pay out his contract. Surely there is a clause in the contract that allows it to be breached in the event of stuff like this, right? Get caught cheating, and the contract can be nullified? Is this the window Bowlen needs?

Former Broncos director of video operations Steve Scarnecchia was described as a rogue employee by both the Broncos front office as well as the NFL.

"This is an incident done by one employee, and one employee only," said Broncos COO Joe Ellis. The NFL didn't find out about the offense until over a week after the 49ers' Oct. 30 practice was recorded, hence the $50,000 fines to coach Josh McDaniels and the Broncos. Regardless of whether Ellis' words are taken at face value or not, this fiasco coupled with a 3-7 season can't bode well for McDaniels' future in Denver.

either you approved the cheating or you've got no control over your staff to allow it.

I think Bowlen should've suspended McD for a game or two. Sad and stupid.

Regardless of control over his staff... he was fined because he found out about it and instead of turning in the perpetrator... he covered it up.

No seriously though... Bowlen can fire him for violating the "Conduct unbecoming a Bronco" clause... with no penalty? Now? Yeah? Start talking to Gruden, Cowher, and token black candidate?

This guy sets the franchise back 40 years and the first time you say anything cross about him is when he doesn't view 6 minutes worth of film about a team who he couldn't even beat after he didn't view it.

here's how it went down...

Scarnecchia: "here's the tape"

McDaniels: "thanks, you're a good guy, I don't care what they say about'cha!"

Scarnecchia: "great, I'll just pop it in so we can get started"

somebody else: ::walks in:: "HEY, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?"

::::TAPE PLAYING::::

McDaniels: "WAIT, WHAT KIND OF TAPE IS THIS!?"

long story short, McDaniels played dumb....

We always seem to track which coached from from which coaching tree, right?

Not hard to figure this one out, huh?

Ever notice how the Pats aren't as dominant and "into the head" of the opposition since they had to stop cheating?

They are both an embarrassment to the game.

ETA:

Think Bell-I-Cheat didn't call McMegan Foxbag up and :wacko::lol: for drudging this whole thing up again? No way that either of them ever escape this reality for, well, forever!
