tazinib1
ESPN's Paul Kuharsky expects TE Marcedes Lewis to be used more as a blocker in Week 12 given LT Eugene Monroe's absence. It's worth noting, as Lewis is far more effective playing as the one tight end when the team has three wide receivers on the field. The Giants have a highly effective pass-rush and the Jaguars have awful backups behind Monroe, meaning Lewis may spend a good chunk of the game on the wrong side of the line of scrimmage. I'm playing against him in 2 leagues this week.
BeeR
Figures. It's him or Tamme in a non-PPR and I THOUGHT I had a better play there since Lewis was more likely to score a TD. sigh
42zero
Hmm thinking about rolling with Dressen instead now
Phazool
Wow, this hurts my plans. He was my fill in for gates. Now I'm wondering if I should go mcmichael or Heath miller who are both available
bushwacked
I don't have Mercedes Lewis in any leagues but before I benched him I would want to know who ESPN's Paul Kuharsky is and how much of a pulse he has on the Jags. If it's just a random ESPN dude that simply speculated a possibility I'd caution against overreacting to this.

Prior to 2008 he was a Titans beat writer for the Tennessean. He really knows his stuff, especially about the AFC South.
redrumjuice
He blocks all the time anyway, it won't take away from his touches. With MSW likely out, they have no other real receiving threats besides Mike Thomas and Zach Miller. I wouldn't sit him. But hell, what do I know? Lewis is the team's second-leading receiver, in both catches and yards, and he's got twice as many TDs as any other receiver. Wouldn't seem that logical to take him out of the equation, especially when they're fighting for the division.
