tiger20
Matthews @ ATL Greenway @ WAS Laurinaitis vs. DEN I'm sort of leaning toward Laurinaitis, but I was wondering what people thought. FYI my other LB definitely starting is Posluszny
T_bone65
I have Matthews in a few leagues and always roll with him. Between him and Lil Animal here
keggerz
I would probably go with Greenway. Some snipits from IDP Game Breakdowns: Linebacker: Just on sheer opportunity alone to rush the passer this week, you might think that Clay Matthews is going to be a nice play. Matthews has been productive fantasy wise of late, averaging 15.33 PPG over his last 3 games, all 3 have been double digits too but this week he faces a Falcons team that has given up just 15 sacks on the season. Only 4 teams have given up fewer sacks. That is relevant because Matthews has yet to score in double digits in a game that he hasn't posted a sack in. On the season, only 5 teams have put the ball in the air more than the Falcons average of 37.7 times/game, so Matthews will have his chances if you are willing to take the risk. Linebacker: Don't hit the panic button! Yes, Chad Greenway had a very un-Chad Greenway type week. It is the first time all season that he failed to record at least 8 combined tackles and his 12 fantasy points tied his lowest output of the season (week 2) but there is no reason to worry. Greenway has been a beast this year and his owners should continue to start him with confidence. For what it is worth, Greenway ranks 4th in LB scoring and he is the only one in the top four to have scored in double digits each and every week. I say you keep going to the bank with Greenway because he is, has been and will continue to be MONEY! The Redskins have been a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to giving up points to opposing LBs this year but I think that EJ Henderson should be able to minimally hit the 10-12 point range this week. Linebacker: James Laurinaitis ranks just inside the top 20 for the year at 18 with 143 fantasy points scored (14.33 PPG). He has been a perfect LB2 posting double digit scores in every week except for week 4. The thing that hurts "Lil' Animal" is playing his home games in St. Louis where the scorekeeper doesn't like to give out assists. This week playing in Denver actually gives him some upside in his 3 star ranking.
