Pip's Invitation
What happened? They were down by 9 -- that's two scores -- with less than a minute to go. No time outs left. With 32 seconds left, they got into field goal range. The logical play is to kick the field goal, then go for the onside kick and the TD. Failing that, throw to the end zone and if that's not successful, then kick the field goal. The key point being that you have 32 seconds and need two scores. Instead, Fisher and co. called pass plays up the middle, spiking after each play. They got inside the 5 -- with four seconds left. They scored a TD on the last play of the game but it meant nothing other than for gambling purposes.
Bonedaddies
Fisher was on the phone with Les Miles on the last drive....... Was at the game, Dude next to me was yelling at the top of his lungs for the FG from the time they were in range, till :00 was on the clock...think his throat might have been a little scratchy Friday.....not sure if he wanted them to win or had the Titans + 6.

i_am_the_swammi
I can't believe no one on the sideline grabbed the Fisher and said "Uh Jeff, you do realize we need the ball back to have any chance at all of winning this game?" They could have kicked a FG with as much as 49 seconds left...it would have been a 46 yard attempt, but it was with the wind, and Bironas has a solid leg to get it there. The ridiculous dink and dunk passes to the middle of field were the LAST thing they needed to do. They did get their last timeout with 32 seconds left, ball ont eh 8-yard line. Decided to continue for the TD. The next play was a middle-pass to Gage to the 2-yard line took the clock from 27 seconds to 10 seconds I am sure Johnson owners were thrilled, though...he racked up 5 catches for 38+ yards on the drive. stethant
I don't follow the Titans regularly, but Fisher always struck me as a good game manager who will go for the win at all costs (a la Music City Miracle). At the end of this game, they weren't even trying to win. At the same time this "drive" is happening, Peyton Manning is off on the sideline having a completely casual conversation with Dallas Clark, realizing there's absolutely nothing the Colts have to worry about at the end of this game. It seemed like Fisher just gave up.
Bronco Billy
Fisher didn't suddenly get stupid. He's been a very good and creative coach for a long time. I think this whole season , and especially the second half of the season, can be chalked up to Fisher being caught in a no-win power struggle with Adams about forcing Young to play. Fisher sees Young as a QB who can't take the franchise forward. It looks like Fisher has lost his love of the game through all of this and is doing everything in his power short of starting the end of the bench to get out of TEN as quickly as possible. IMO, he'd be welcomed with open arms in DEN. I'd love to see him here next season.
SLAYER
Imagine what he could do in Minny. He will show you the proper way to use Adrian.

Seems like exactly the kind of coach Pat Bowlen wants/needs to hire.
