Chief Dick
Saw it on ESPN. 5 more years. Obviously a no brainer decision, and good to see Pioli starting to lock some guys up.
Furd
Unfortunately for Charles, Thomas Jones stole 1/2 of those years.
loaf
Chiefs extend Jamaal Charles how inquisition like...he really needs to be taller anyways
i_am_the_swammi
They need to extend his touches. As much as I'd like to see him get 25+ touches per game for selfish fantasy reasons, I'm beginning to wonder if the Chiefs didn't have it right all along by keeping him fresh for the last 6-8 games of the year. Dude has very limited mileage, and the benefit of saving himself the wear and tear of 6-8 extra carries a game really adds up. Tack on those extra carries at the end of games, and it likely exponentially increases the chance he gets hurt.

No, I refuse to give any NFL team credit for making any decision that is not directly in line with my fantasy team's best interest. So there. montster
Unfortunately for Charles, Thomas Jones stole 1/2 of those years. Except that Jones took what should've been a 2 1/2-year gain and got only 1 year out of it.

But ya, if the Chiefs can win the division (that's a big if given the Raiders 4-0 division record and Cassel's owie) a home playoff game in the cold with 2 fresh backs is looking like a mighty difficult game for either the Ravens or the Jets.
