Chavez
....OR they play at the Gopher's new stadium. They BETTER play tomorrow at the latest. If not it is totally unfair to the Giants. We have a huge game against the Eagles next Sunday and we can't be jerked around because of this past Monday night. Gophers stadium would be the most feasible option, IMO. Chavez
Milwaukee does not have a NFL-caliber stadium. Milwaukee proper doesn't have a really good HIGH SCHOOL stadium. Well, OK - about three.
Big John
the idea to move the game to NY isn't possible, is it? Isn't the JETS hosting MIA? That game is today. It is possible to convert it for the Giants in a day.
51Butkus
What's with the Milwaukee bashing? Cleveland wishes it could be Milwaukee.
Big John
What's with the Milwaukee bashing? Cleveland wishes it could be Milwaukee. Not bashing Milwaukee. Just that Miller Park is a baseball stadium and they can't fit a football field in it. And chavez lives in Milwaukee.
Chavez
What's with the Milwaukee bashing? Cleveland wishes it could be Milwaukee. Nothing wrong with Milwaukee - well, nothing that isn't wrong with any other major city at least. They just don't have any facility up to par for high-level football is all. Nearest facilities would be TCF, Camp Randall (Wisconsin), Arrowhead, Lambeau, or Detroit. EDIT - Forgot St Louis. I was obviously only thinking of cities with major college teams and/or professional football teams. Whiskey Pimp
They're talking about the nearest dome stadiums (Detroit and Indy) as possibilities. They said Detroit might be best since Lions play today and Fox is all set up to cover it so they could just leave everything set up and do it again tomorrow night. Randall
The Giants can't play outside because they don't have outdoor gear? I hear KC and other cities have places that sell the stuff. St Louis makes the most sense so far.

Chief Dick
Typical that Brett Favre happens to tell Ed Werder there was no way he could have played today. Now he can be the storyline all day today AND tomorrow. Wheeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CaptainHook
Heard Indy is a possibility too. The FOX TV equipment not being in town will hurt it being in Indy, I think. Last report was that it was down to Detroit and New Orleans.

Chadman
Seems Detroit would make the most logistic sense from a travel and tv coverage standpoint. I don't see how they could justify giving the Giants another home game from a competition standpoint. As for the Gopher stadium being too small, that's probably where they'll be playing until a new stadium is built, if it ever is. I just don't see playing it on short notice there, with one team not even here yet, and the weather going to be so crappy to boot. Fox coverage would be in place, though. Hey If it comes to NO maybe they will give away tickets to fill the dome, people down here ain't paying to see it for sure. Unless they sell em for $10-15 for all tickets.
