keggerz
Just announced that Favre is saying he won't play tomorrow. I head he told Clayton (or someone else) it was a good thing the game wasn't today because he couldn't have played today...haven't heard about tomm yet. It was on Redzone. One of their reporters says Favre is telling teammates he won't play.

Jackass
If true, the end of an incredible streak. Peyton's got about 8 years to catch him.
WaterMan
If true, the end of an incredible streak. Peyton's got about 8 years to catch him. Is Peyton the only player "close" to Favre's record? Because it's not looking too good for Peyton right now.

Jackass
Actually my math was a little off. Favre 297 Peyton 205 Eli 99 so 6 years for peyton and another 7 or so to Eli (assuming 16 game schedule)
Ursa Majoris
Peter King says Frazier has told him that Favre is still officially questionable and has traveled to Detroit for the Giants game on Monday.
cdrudge
Is Peyton the only player "close" to Favre's record? Because it's not looking too good for Peyton right now.How is it "not looking too good" right now? Favre had a 7 year head start in the league, 6 of which goes towards his record. If Manning keeps it up for 6 more seasons at 16 games a year, he'll beat the record, presuming Favre record stops at the end of this season if not earlier. Sure every snap could result in a serious injury, but I don't see anything that would say that things aren't looking good at this point in his career. I think he meant that behind that offensive line, Peyton isn't gonna make it that long without an injury. For once, I agree with him. Exactly. It has nothing to do with Peyton's skills. His line needs to return to what it used to be. Maybe a running game next season will help slow down the number of blitzes called. MikesVikes
How does this affect Aaron Rodgers? Obviously Aaron won't play either.
MikesVikes
I always hear the same stories. Favre says that he probably won't play. Frazier doesn't rule him out. The local press will report further when they arrive in Detroit.

i_am_the_swammi
An amazing streak by an amazing player. It's been fun watching it happen. For all the drama the streak created, it wouldn't have been dramatic had it not been a terrific QB involved. Iron man indeed!
