DaFreak
Their playoff hopes might have gone down the drain with this loss. Lions defense was impressive. Edited December 12, 2010 by DaFreak
Sunday Couch Potatoe
Well I already said it in the pissing match thread for Rodgers but.... Nice win Lions!! Even with Rodgers in there the whole first half GB still had a goose egg!! WTG big win!!
Furd
An awful game. 3 hours of my life that I'll never get back.
piratesownninjas
No Grant, No Finley, No Rodgers makes the offense do nothing. McCarthy had some questionable moves, and it's time for him to let him let the OC call plays. The defense was game today, but the offense was completely flat. Jennings bobbling the ball that went from GB TD to an INT was the game changer. If Jennings catches the ball GB and Rodgers don't get wreckless late in the 2nd, Rodgers probably doesn't get hit. But then again, the line didn't show up today and Rodgers was running for his life. Poor performance for the entire offense. Lions won. They scored a TD when it counted, where as Flynn threw a pick. Congrats to the Lions fans here. I know this is a big thing for you guys. Quarless is going to be a pretty good Tight End, but he makes too many mistakes. He's got to figure out the whole ball security thing. Tough loss. Although I don't think Green Bay or Chicago would fare very well in the Playoffs. tosberg34
Detroit played a helluva game and deserved the win. Clearly GB wanted it less than the lions did. Apparently, controlling your own playoff destiny isn't as exciting as relying on somebody else doing it. You'll hear no excuses from me - GB can kiss the playoffs goodbye. Tell that to a defensive unit that gave up 7 points in spite of the offense turning the ball over left and right. And now that you're off the bandwagon, don't jump back on if they go on a run these last three weeks.

Agree offense looked totally out of sync but I have a feeling that If Rodgers plays the whole game the Pack scores more than 7 points. Lions defense looked tough. The way the Pats are spanking teams I'd say a 3 week run is not likely and will have to be a 2 week run starting week 16. And then it's probably too late. bpwallace49
Big win by the Lions . . they have been on the cusp and havent been able to finish a game. The Packers injuries are finally catching up with them. sooooo many injuries and they have really been playing over their heads with starting so many second and third teamers. The Lions defensive line is very good . . and if they can improve their LBs that defense can be scary good. Hats off to the Lions for really taking it to the Packers, who didnt look they came to play this week at all. The INT was 100% all Jennings fault and not staying focused. That shoulda been a TD . . and was the difference in the game.

So the Pats are automatically going 14-2 then? There is a reason why you play the games. Detroit wasn't supposed to win today, but they did. It's not beyond reason to think that if the Packers show up next week that they could sneak away with a win. you can't keep it real with gbpfan1231 he lives to talk smack abouts other teams and make exuses for him own What did GBPfan do in this thread? Didn't say they would be 14-2 but I'd bet on 12-2. Can any team win any given week.....?Absolutely! But I'd put my money on the Pats over GB next week if Rodgers is out all day long. Only thing the pack can hope for is Rodgers playing next week and the Pats having a "letdown" game . . . but the Pats have very few letdown games in general. I gave the Bears little to no chance today and I honestly don't give the Packers a much better chance. They do play the games for a reason and if everything goes the Packers way next week they could squeak out a win.

But yes, a Packers offense without Rodgers, Grant, Finley, Burnett, Barnett, Jenkins, Jones, Bigby, Chillar, and Poppinga in New England would be a massive flea ridden dog. If Rodgers is out any amount of time then it's time to start prepping for the draft. OL, DL, WR all draft.

Chief
Not to take away from GB, but we were without our #1 and #2 qb, so I really don't want to hear about if Rodgers... Detroits played hard all year and it was nice to see them win instead of giving up. Did we get a break on the Jennings play? Absolutley. We also should have beat you in your house. Lions have had a ton of bonehead calls against them this year costing games or crucial momemtum. We could of easily been flipped on the record but we're not and I'm just glad they keep playing lights out, especially the D line. Agree with earlier post, few good lb's and maybe a cb or safety, we'd be alot tougher on D. Hope next year shows the same kind of improvement, where the NFC North will be up for grabs. You have also known that and didnt have your QB suddenly thrown into a game-time situation. stanton has been starting for what? 3-4 games now? There is a difference, especially for a QB in a game situation. The prep, film, and game planning are vastly different for that position more than any other.
