doing_it_live
With Chris Ivory getting hurt and if PT steps up, I see him doing well these last few games . I have had him on my roster as a great playoff RB and I think if he gets most of the workload he will hopefully win me another championship . rajncajn
I wouldn't get too excited, Ivory's injury is said to be minor and he'll likely be back next week against Baltimore.
CaptainHook
I'm wishing I'd just dropped this mess a few weeks ago. Now I've got Ivory, Thomas, and Bush and no clue what to do.

Especially with Rogers status up in the air.

Especially with Rogers status up in the air. Unfortunately I think PT and Ivory are going to be splitting carries depending on the situation from here on out. PT is one of the best screen runners in the league and much better in pass protection, but Ivory seems to be better as a pure runner right now. Against the Ravens I can see PT having a better outing because of those assets, but Payton wants to get Ivory touches and that will likely mean some short yardage & goal line work as well as some carries in between. Bush is the x-factor in all this. As I've said before, he will always get his, but it'll depend on how hard the defense is keying on him whether he's able to break something or not. Against the Rams he was one face mask tackle away from a long TD. In a PPR league I'd start him as a flex or 3rd RB option, but if you're relying on him as a RB 1 or 2 you could very well get burned. rajncajn
News if your league scores for return yardage: New Orleans Saints tailback Pierre Thomas, receiver Robert Meachem will likely return kickoffs Sunday The New Orleans Saints "definitely" expect kickoff return Courtney Roby to return to the lineup at some point this season, according to Coach Sean Payton. But they don't expect him to be back in time for Sunday's game at Baltimore. Thomas was the Saints' primary kickoff returner in 2007 and 2008 and has a career average of 24.7 yards per kickoff return. Thomas hasn't returned a kickoff this year, and he only returned two last year. But one of them was an unforgettable 40-yard return in overtime of the NFC Championship Game against Minnesota that helped set up the Saints' game-winning field goal. "I feel that my ankle would allow me to do just about anything out there," Thomas said. "I do a lot out there in practice. And if they need me, I told them I'm always there. I'm always ready to step up for whatever cause there is. So I'm ready to step up if my name is called." Meachem began last season as the Saints' primary kickoff returner when the team decided to cut Roby following the preseason. Meachem did a solid job, returning six kicks for 148 yards (an average of 24.7), with a long of 42 yards. But Roby was re-signed a week later, in large part because of his abilities as a coverage specialist. article here http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2010/...back_pi_10.html Edited December 16, 2010 by rajncajn
doing_it_live
Thomas does not appear on Wednesday's initial injury report. Recommendation: Thomas missed nine games with an ankle injury before returning in last week's win over St. Louis. Chris Ivory (hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's practice, so Thomas could be in line for extra work if Ivory is unable to play. (Rotowire.com) I am actually considering starting him now, even against Baltimore since he usually gets a few rec. and I am in a PPR League. But right now I'm leaning towards Rashad Jennings of the Jags against the Colts sad defense. Waiting to see if Ivory's injury keeps him "limited" in practice the next couple days. If so, I might switch to PT. If Ivory is ready to go by Sunday, I think I'd rather start Jennings. Two backs in a RBBC is better than three, right?
