BeeR
Haven't looked at stats just a general impression of the bigger busts, not the milder ones (in fairness Rice is probably iffy - if only he actually scored) QB - Favre RB - CJ, Rice, Greene, D Williams, Benson WR - Moss, Marshall TE - Celek Also Kolb for the dumbasses who predicted big things
osu1322
ochocinco definatly makes the list.... he isn't the starter I drafted him to be.... Tony Romo definatly deserves mentioned here. Matthew Stafford comes to mind. Some people had really high hopes for him. V jax for sure everyone is dissapointed in him even in his limited time he's played.... CJ definatly hasn't lived up to being a #1 draft pick... Big Ben hasn't made the impact that they expected (heck the Pitt D won the last game)

wolfer
How about every TE not named Antonio Gates. After week 15 Gates owners might want him on the list too Jason witten is close to getting an xmas card though, but man what a pathetic season for the position. Jackass
Good call - I discount the rest due to injury (well Big Ben suspension). Ray Rice wasn't injured. He was the 4th pick overall in most drafts. Ocho was like a 5th round pick. Edited December 15, 2010 by Jackass

I have him as the #7 running back so far. Was he overvalued?... maybe... but not a bust. Carolina S Smith I would add.

Seahawk
PT but I have a hard time adding injuries as disapointments but this one seems apropo if for the only reason of him and his team everyweek saying he'll play next week then next week would come and they would say the same thing all over again. BeeR
Ray Rice wasn't injured. He was the 4th pick overall in most drafts. Ocho was like a 5th round pick. ? Never said he was. Just a very disappointing player. St Smith was a good call. Both of them, really, but the CAR guy much more so. Wells woulda been on this list even if he was healthy all year. What a turd. Ditto any Colt RB.
gardenthug
Not sure how Miles Austin isn't near the top of this steaming pile of suck. Austin had some great games at the beginning of the year and sprinkled in a few decent games. He wasn't the WR1 most drafted, but he didn't stab your team in the back like a Pierre Thomas or D. Williams.
wolfer
Without running numbers, I'd say it is as deep and dynamic as it's been in years. I hear you, especially in keeper formats there's some good/great TEs emerging. But looking at a 2010 redraft and ADP, anyone who drafted a TE before round 7 is probably regretting it. Just thinking of some of the The TEs I've gone thru this year: Keeper: Finley--IR, and 0 TDs before IR. Pettigrew: stuck in limbo with poor qb play redraft: Davis--ankle issues, disappeared mid-season with Troy under center. Daniels--got him late but he was never ready to play until now. WW: Hernandez--20 snaps a game now. Gates is all world. What can I say even by not playing last week he almost outscored Watson. Anyways, given the depth I think 2011 you will see a major shift to waiting to take your TE.
montster
Many predicted MJD to be on this list, but the guy has performed nearly as well or better than any of the guys people took before him. Still a stud. Looking at the first three rounds of a few of my drafts: Randy Moss, Deangelo Williams, CJ Spiller, Ryan Mathews, Steve Smith (CAR), Shonn Greene all jump out. Union Jack
Ray Ray would have more TDs if he didn't get screwed by McGahee. I guess you could say that about alot of RBS, the old RBBC.
JUMbotron
As September approached Ryan Mathews' hype wave crested in the late 1st round in many drafts. Never lower than the late 2nd round that I saw. Mathews is a big bust. Jahvid Best crept into the early 4th rd and is a big bust too, especially because he kept playing on that bad toe. If he had just done the ol' "Out 4-6 weeks" thing it would have been so much easier. Nope. A lot of people kept getting suckered into starting him. Me too. After week 15 Gates owners might want him on the list too Jason witten is close to getting an xmas card though, but man what a pathetic season for the position. I drafted Greg Olsen really late in my draft cause someone took Gates early. I ended up picking up Mercedes Lewis week 2 or 3 and it was a match up base thing at first but then next thing I know I'm start M Lewis almost every week... Granted I'm in a PPR leauge and he has been doin something to the effect of 5 catches for 50 yd or so almost every week. He's been getting me a solid 10 points every week and scoring a TD or 2 here and there. He's been in the top 5 for TEs most of the year and yet stayed "under the radar"

Furd
From my post about a month ago, now edited: Well, bust is a nebulous term (as is stud) which makes for interesting discussion. It seems to me that you are comparing points scored to draft position. I think that its diffuclt to call anyone typically drafted after the 5th round (maybe sooner) or so as a bust, because your expectations should be lower. IMO, poor performance due to significant injuries doesn't count. At RB, I think that Rice, MJD, D. Williams (injury problems?), Mathews (injury?) and Greene are definite busts. In the case of the former 2, you didn't spend a top 4 pick expecting an RB with a rank of 14 or so. Williams and Mathews were likely second round picks. I think that you need top 20 numbers out of a second round RB pick at least. i think that Chris Johnson is more of a bust than Wells. You expect more than a #7 RB with the first pick of the draft. Did you guys really expect that much from Wells? At QB, I think that you may have Brady (probably) and Schaub (probably not). I think that your expecting top 5 numbers from a QB round 3 or before. Schaub was drafted later, so he gets more of a pass. At WR, A. Johnson, R. Moss, Fitzgerald and Steve Smith (south) come to mind. You didn't draft Johnson in the middle of the first round for him to be #12 or 13 in WR scoring. At TE, probably only Brett Celek. I don't think that Gonzalez was drafted early enough. I'm not sure if we need to add anybody.
