countrychuck
Anyone (Big John) have an idea how #43 not playing statistically affects Pitts run D? J Stewart has been a beast since coming back from injury so I'm tempted to dance with the devil and start him in what would normally be a no start situation. I would like to see the data concerning Pitt D w/o Troy P though before I make a final decision.
Big John
The Steelers run D was 3rd ranked last year with #43 out most of the year.
countrychuck
Perfect! Come on down.....(gulp) Brian Westbrook, you're the next contestant on the RB Carousel!!! (since Gore injury) Thanks, Big John
CurlyDumps
I have this weird feeling that he's going to do much better than people expect him to.
lennykravitz2004
I'd been thinking about starting this thread myself over the past few days, as I have both on my roster. I have had the PIT D on my roster since week 1, and thanks to the money donated to Directv and Sunday Ticket, I have been able to see all of their games this year. One thing I can say, is that D is NOT even close to being the same without him in there. Look at what the inept Jets did against them last week? I'd like to play J Stew, but then again Jimmy Clausen at QB sounds almost too tempting. I'm probably benching Stew in favor of Bowe at my flex spot... and rolling out the D who got me to the championship game.
CrazyOne
They aren't the same without Polamalu for sure. And the Jets did win. But it wasn't with dominant rushing. Sanchez did get a rushing TD, but otherwise the scoring was the kickoff runback, field goals, and that stupid safety.
The Waterboy
I'm torn about this. I agree, Steelers are not the same without Polamalu. I dont want to pat myself on the back, but I saw last weeks' dud coming and I benched them for the Cowboys. My league rewards sloppy turnover games more than tight, low-scoring ones. That move really panned out. However, what nobody said so far - the Panthers are not the Jets. I think the leagues' most inept offense counteracts the loss of Polamalu... that and needing a W to get into the playoffs.... I'm liable to start them this week....if I don't go with Dallas again against the Skelton-crew formerly known as the Cardinals.
CrazyOne
The OP was looking for info for decision with J. Stewart, RB for Carolina. As far as the Steelers DEF, hell yeah, start 'em against Carolina.
