HowboutthemCowboys
My mom's side of the family is Italian. My Gram on her side used to do the "feast" when I was I kid including baccala (sp?) etc.. We still do the lobster tails, smelt, shrimp and clams along with pasta and Italian cold cuts. Tonight will be a good night.

loaf
I just read about this tradition in Cleveland Magazine yesterday. A local chef/restaurant owner was recalling his childhood and how he carries on his Mother's tradition. If I remember, he posted a recipe for a tuna marinade or somesuchthing. Not italian but I love the tradition. 3 fishes in so far. 4 more to go. My dishes are definitely not traditional italian and while I will use 7 fishes, I won't be doing 7 different courses. I couldn't do more than 4 courses. 1.) Shrimp Bisque with Crawfish Boulettes 2.) Grilled Octopus Salad with an orange / champagne vinaigrette topped with red & green tobiko. 3.) Scallop sausage stuffed squid 4.) Grilled Columbia River King Salmon topped with Dungeness crab.
