Guest mrbass
One minute I'm jumping off the couch high fiving my daughter and screaming, the next I'm pissed off pouting on the couch. Every year at this time I say I'm done I Hate It....................In League I struggle and Every Year at this time I say I LOVE it and can't wait till next year..........In leagues I do well. Any of you think this dang game (which I Love and will play till it kills me) is taking years off your life....LOL

rebdog
made it to the championship game. no waiver wire in our pool. AJ out, MJD out, Malcom Floyd seemingly out. and Roddy White is still questionable for tomorrow.
tosberg34
I was the top team in points and record in our league and knocked out of the 1st round of playoffs - again- because my starters (Foster, Turner, Bowe) decided not to show up for my playoffs. Yeah, I believe FF has made my life shorter. I'm going to take up smoking instead - at least I'll live longer.
CurlyDumps
The good thing about shortened life = less FF seasons to stress over.
CrazyOne
Every year, even this one where I'm currently contending for the championship game and for a separate large prize for total points, I start thinking about "retiring". And I only play in this one league. I can't even imagine what the stress would be like if I played in multiple leagues. I'm also the commish so it's a little bit of extra hassle, but not a ton. I do love it when my maneuvers and choices pan out for the better. And who doesn't like winning a little extra cash? But I wonder, really, how much I would miss it if I stopped. Quite possibly it would not be as much as many of the rest of you. Definitely makes my life shorter, but I love it at times.
ts
I have learned after many years not to live & die with the vagaries of FF ... it has been said that this game/hobby is 90% luck & 10% luck ... not sure I fully agree with that, but luck does play a very large factor, no matter how much time, energy & research it put into preparing. I'm sure many posters are in the same boat as me today ... your "regular starters" (thanks J. Knox) putting up near record point totals, 1 week after your FF team was eliminated from the FF playoffs. Just wait 'til next year ... hope springs eternal.
Guest mrbass
All my leagues except 1 are done week 16 every year, and the one thats left is just a cheap family league. Needless to say I LOVE when week 17 gets her, nothing but watching football and seeing who getting in the play offs.
myhousekey
I decided to retire from the game after this year about midseason. I'm playing in the championship game in one league and in the runner up game in my other league. Regardless of the outcome, this is going to be my last year. Been playing for 15 years and just no longer find the joy in it that I used to. Plus I tend to take it way too seriously and spend (waste?) way too much time on a weekly basis managing my teams. (and that doesn't even count the time spent organizing and running 6 leagues) It becomes almost personal when I lose and I have to continually remind myself it's just a game. I have 3 small kids now so it's time to devote more time to them and less to staring at a boxscore on Sundays.

Yeah, I believe FF has made my life shorter. I'm going to take up smoking instead - at least I'll live longer. I feel you brother. In a big money league I'm in, I lead the league in scoring all year and finished with the best record. I just got Freeman'd and Daniels'd in my fantasy bowl. Eli, Wayne, Stevie Johnson and Boss didn't show up. I had originally drafted Finley and had been playing Floyd unti he got hurt. My best lineup got beat, but this still hurts. I put a ton of effort into managing my team all year. I'll get over it -- I always do --- and starting thinking about 2011.
