tazinib1
By hearing news like this: "Multiple observers have speculated that Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis may not be back in Kansas City next year. ESPN's Chris Mortensen has hinted that Weis could be replaced by ex-Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels" McMegan Fox has already screwed up one AFC West team, now he might get a chance at another? WOOHOO!!!!
stethant
This would be a clear upgrade for the Chiefs. Reuniting Cassel and McDaniels will not go well for the rest of the AFC West at all. If KC's defense continues to improve they could dominate the division for multiple years to come.
MTSuper7
Charger fans? How do you think Broncos fans would feel having McDaniels help stick it to them twice a year? McD might have been a giant Megan Foxnozzle of a head coach, but I agree that reuniting him with Cassel is probably only a good thing for their offense. Pip's Invitation
I thought Haley and McD didn't get along.
MTSuper7
I thought Haley and McD didn't get along. Wouldn't be the first time a HC and coordinator didn't get along. IIRC, Mike Ditka and Buddy Ryan weren't exactly friends in the early to mid 80s.
sonny4425
Norv is simply not a head coach in this leaague. I think he's a good offensive coordinator, but thats it. Im a Skins fan whos been saying this for a decade. He loses close games, is not a motivator, and doesnt pay ttention to the little things. Riffraff
Why would Weis leave? Did he get a job offer? Roto: Updating a previous item, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Chiefs OC Charlie Weis is "likely" to part with Kansas City this offseason to take the job as offensive coordinator of the Florida Gators. Weis has ties to new Florida coach Will Muschamp, and potentially may have designs on becoming a college head coach again in the near future. Weis would inherit a talented, if underachieving Gators offense. He would also re-implement a pro-style attack after six years of Urban Meyer's spread. Weis will continue to run the Chiefs' offense during the playoffs, but Mortensen's report indicates that the deal with Florida is already a foregone conclusion. Chief Dick
I thought Haley and McD didn't get along. I think the more truism is that Weis and Haley probably do not get along. Two massive egos, and Haley with somewhat of a temper. Plus, part of mewonders if Weis came here because he thought Haley may suck as a coach and then he'd be in line for a head coaching job. Bronco Billy
How do Charger fans keep going? Hell, don't do it. C'mon over and join the dark side, become a Donkey fan, and understand what a real fall into utter misery feels like. Plenty of room on the bandwagon right now... Chief Dick
What he said. Actually, the Star has been reporting that the Chiefs QB coach has been getting a lot of credit internally for Cassell's development. His name is Nick Sirianni. McBoog
Well, At least today we get to see for the FIRST FRIGGEN TIME this season all three of the projected starting WRs from the beginning of the year on the filed at the same time. Mind you that it is the the WRs without Gates in the middle. If there is something to watch the game for it would be this. It will also be interesting to see if the "#1" D shows up and shuts down Tebow and company. Basically, these two teams don't like each other and finishing the year with a grudge match could possible make it a good, if meaningless game. I also am getting tired of the "what if" VJax was there from the start if the season would have been different. He had to sit the first four games on an NFL suspension, independent of what the team did. Getting the franchise tag next year will be a favor to him because I don't think there is a team out there willing to give him a long term, big $ contract 'til he shows it on the field for a full year with good behavior. The franchise tag for one year will set him up for life and he can go from there.

Again the special teams were not so special, and the defense had difficulty in the fourth quarter keeping Tebow under wraps. Vjax got hurt again, but Rivers really doesn't care who he throws to anymore. Still....it is good to end the season with a win and there is always NEXT year. :sigh:
