The way he was pounding it, a Clay run for the 2-pt conversion seemed to be a higher percentage option than the clumsy pass attempt from a less than stellar Tolzien. The two point conversion stood out as a w - t - f moment but overall, moving away from their massive advantage on the OL and running game completely baffled me, especially second half. On the very first play of the game the Wisconsin o-line totally crushed the TCU D and threw them bodily around the field. Pretty certain it was 4th down, so if Wisconsin was not willing to risk going for it on 4th down it made very good sense to let the clock run down before attempting a FG right before half. wildcat2334 Posted January 3, 2011 Share Posted January 3, 2011 The Big 10 is down, there is no denying it......not sure if it is a combo of the rust belt losing popluation- kids going to warm weather schools or scholarship limits but the product the Big 10 is putting out on the field is not good nor competitive on a national-level year in and year out. They have gradually fallen off quite a bit in recent years........ this year Mich St is a perfek example, Co Big 10 champs, plays nobody, misses OSU and bam ends up getting totally embarassed.
