splotchman Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Dwayne Bowe was not on the Chiefs practice field Wednesday for undisclosed reasons. We'd usually think nothing of it, but the Chiefs' Wednesday signing of free agent Kevin Curtis makes it a potential concern. Bowe caught five passes for 68 yards in K.C.'s regular season finale and didn't appear injured at any point. His knucklehead history has us wondering if something else is up. Stay tuned for updates. At first I wasn't sure of the context...Bowe didn't participate because of an illness, he missed practice because ______________ (insert knucklehead issue). Then I read: NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Chiefs are "confident" Dwayne Bowe (illness) will play in the Wild Card round. "He is sick, but nothing more than that," writes La Canfora, adding that there are "no hidden injuries." Bowe's absence from practice was initially concerning coupled with the morning signing of Kevin Curtis, but it appears Kansas City's top receiver will be ready to start against Baltimore.
