BeeR
4600 yds 33 TDs, 90+ QB rating yeah that curse is a killer. Placed out fairly well in our FFL too, although not quite as dazzling hoped. Edited January 9, 2011 by BeeR

rajncajn
Isn't the curse on the player, not the team? 11-5 season & a return to the playoffs?
tonyr0802
11-5 season & a return to the playoffs? My point exactly, trying to call this loss the "Madden Curse" is a bit silly.
piratesownninjas
My point exactly, trying to call this loss the "Madden Curse" is a bit silly. Still, losing to a 7-9 team does give the people that believe in it a little fuel to throw on the fire.
wolfer
Still, losing to a 7-9 team does give the people that believe in it a little fuel to throw on the fire. Except that he was all-world in the loss. The curse usually involves an injury or a drop in production. Brees had neither, but someone out there is holding voodoo dolls of Saints RBs... Flip_Side
Hey, defending super bowl champs losing to a Non playoff team in the playoffs is enough for me.
tonyr0802
Hey, defending super bowl champs losing to a Non playoff team in the playoffs is enough for me. That non playoff team proved they belonged where they were. That aside, I always think the "defending champs" schtick is garbage anyway. The defending champs were the best team last season, not necessarily now. In this era with teams changing drastically year to year I think this is a thought a tad old. Brentastic
Madden curse has always been about the player getting injured and therefore being less than average at best. Drew Brees officially broke the curse since he was not injured and put up elite QB numbers yet again.

As someone who has lived with a birthmark on their face and dealt with ridicule as a child from it- I find your remark to be incredibly offensive. westvirginia
There are plenty of things plenty of people have been ridiculed for, because hey - kids are cruel. But you go right on cornering the market for this one thing. If you rub it hard enough the sand will eventually get washed out of there. I believe he has been, I noticed it as well recently. It was a bad assumption on my part that you weren't a kid.
