theprofessor
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog...rn=ncaaf-306263 ESPN announced during the game that Cam's father wouldn't be at the game as the NCAA and Auburn wanted him to stay away. Not sure I wouldn't have shown up either to my son's last game as a collegiate player but the NCAA I'm sure wasn't too happy. He'll be in the NFL making millions next season and Auburn will probably be paying for his crimes within a couple years. I see this guy lasting about 2-3 years in the NFL. Get real, Jamarcus Russell played that long. Are you sure you are not confusing him with Jake Locker?
detlef
1) It was such a stupid penalty, I don't even know why we should have expected it to be follow it. Let me see, you do something bad enough that, if it could be proven that your son had any idea what was going on, Auburn would have likely had to forfeit all it's games this year. But, since we can't, it drops all the way down to, "Dad can't go to the Heisman ceremony or see him play live." What a freaking joke. 2) I think Newton has the best chance of the guys in the VY/Jamarcus mold to break through. He's one thing that neither of the other guys were, gregarious and well spoken. I mean, he doesn't sound like Laurence Olivier, but you can tell the kid is reasonably bright and has charm. Both of the other guys were social retards and that ultimately was their undoing. He can also throw a prettier ball than Young. I actually think he's going to be fine on Sundays.
Living the Dream
Newton will be a better Daunte Culpepper. This kid isnt lazy like Russell, and will never be 300 lbs and out of football in 3 years barring injury.
