tazinib1
CSN Philly's Reuben Frank is "convinced" that the Eagles have their eye on Packers DBs coach Darren Perry to fill their defensive coordinator vacancy. Multiple Eagles sources have denied a Thursday night ESPN report that the position has already been filled. They may have a handshake agreement with Perry, but the deal can't become official until after the Super Bowl. The Eagles are placing a high priority on fixing their leaky pass defense, so a coach with secondary experience makes sense. Source: CSN Philly Interesting choice if this is true. piratesownninjas
Could a handshake agreement be grounds for tampering of some kind? I wouldn't mind a mid to late round pick in exchange for him.

I doubt it. It's common knowledge that the Eagles need a D coordinator and the coach will come from one of the 2 teams playing in the Super Bowl. If the D coordinator they want isn't employed by either the Steelers or Packers right now, they would've hired someone already.

They know who they want, and he likely has read all the media reports that the Eagles are very interested in him. Odd thing is, they let go a young mind apparently in exchange for another. Eagles brass may have just felt it was time for a complete change.

fitzkek
Then there is no handshake agreement then. No probably not. But I'm sure both sides are well aware of the situation. No handshakes, but definitely some winks and nods in each other's directions.
