McBoog Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 I love Football and the NFL. Watched the Pro Bowl tonight. Will watch the Superbowl too. BUT, I am not excited about this game at all. Even growing up as a Steelers fan, I am just not hyped about this game. Maybe I just want "new blood" in the big game. I was kind of hoping Falcons / Jets. This match up??? Meh... Thoughts? whomper Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 I like this Match up much better than if it were Jets Falcons for example. Both of these teams are storied franchises. GB O is explosive, Pitt D always brings it. Intangibles -Rodgers winning one and driving the final stake in the Favre issues that linger with him sometimes. Big Ben in the big game again after the allegations. I dont think you can ask for a better match up to be honest with you. Two of the best teams for the 2010 season. Now the game may not live up to the hype, but I'm not sure it gets much better than this. I just hope the Steelers hit Aaron Rodgers in the mouth. Shorttynaz Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 This whole season was kinda flat. Not as good as some recent ones - however this SB should be fantastic! I know the winners of the AFC and NFC are deemed the best of their conferences, but lets get serious.. The Cardinals, Seahawks, Bears are some of the more recent teams who won their conference but "arguably" weren't the best team in the conference. This superbowl however does boast what I would in fact consider the true best AFC team and the best NFC team. Should be a great game and I'm difinitely looking forward to it! Yeah...not sure a Vikings fan should be bringing up the subject of internal strife within an organization. Arguing over a team photo is nothing compared to what happened in MN. BTW what are the Vikings doing to get ready for the SuperBowl? I bet they're all buying new TVs! Of course, knowing them there will definitely be some internal strife on whether to go Plasma or LCD.
