Footballjoe
(FFChamps) The Washington Redskins officially released Running Back Clinton Portis, early Monday morning. Portis spent the last seven seasons playing for the Redskins. Nothing unexpected here. He was going to make to much money for his value. He could be a good backup for someone. P.S. I have a Jersey for sale. Hardly worn, very good condition.
Kid Cid
I don't think there's much left in the tank. I doubt you'll find him making a roster.
buddahj
NEP? Somehow, I can see this happening.
countryroads
I can't see him going to the Pats. They don't need another used up back, plus Clinton wouldn't be able to use all his dumb a** outfits for the media.
tazinib1
Some team will give him a base salary and be disappointed on their investment. Happens every year.
Scooby's Hubby
P.S. I have a Jersey for sale. Hardly worn, very good condition. I have a friend who has a Oakland Raiders Charles Woodson jersey, talk about worthless....
i_am_the_swammi
How's it going trying to trade him away? Getting the value that you declared you'd get? Little early for that, isn't it? Assume this was 2010....he'd have been the starting RB for the eventual Super Bowl Champs in week 2. if he's not signed heading into camp (which I doubt), he'll be on a roster by the end of September when a teams's #1 RB goes down. And some fantasy MondayAM owner will overpay for him.
i_am_the_swammi
In LLD, Taz tried to trade him a year ago for a 2010 2nd round pick... we all laughed and laughed. I'm assuming it was after 9:30AM, which is when Taz's happy hour kicks off.

Kid Cid
it worked with Corey Dillon Who had a lot less miles on him when the Pats picked him up.
