Savage Beatings
How much money did he actually make with the Raiders before being released? How could he possibly NOT be set for life?

piratesownninjas
How much money did he actually make with the Raiders before being released? How could he possibly NOT be set for life? We know his agent got 3-10% and the Government got 25-35% So at worst he took home 55% of 60 million dollars, or whatever the total is. If you're so stupid and wasteful that you blow that money in four years I have no sympathy. It takes effort to be that dumb.

Ursa Majoris
Blowing money on this scale would be Tyson-esque. I wonder though if it's simply that the idiot buffoon has just not paid any attention to his monthly bills?
Riffraff
I imagine the mansions cost a fortune just for the monthly watering of a huge yard, electricity, land taxes, and lawn/pool maintenance. These things don't go away even after you pay off the house. Lots of people don't factor in these costs over a lifetime, they only look at the upfront purchase price. It's easy to lose a house due to these oversights. Upkeep is costly. Edited March 5, 2011 by Riffraff

The Vatican Hitsquad
I have zero sympathy for YaLardAss Russell. Zero. he's an idiot, but theres no saying he just doesnt want the house in oakland anymore... really, who's gonna buy it? so he probably just stopped paying on it, let the bank take it back and he's gonna get his drank on elsewhere. It's not like he needs cash or credit to live in loserville, plus he's probably still got at least 5 mil.
