Greg Little, CLE WR Rookie

I didn't want to post before selecting in AOTAOP BOTH league but I think this guy landed in a great spot. Alot of people are low on him because he took compensation and missed his last year but this guy is a beast. I think CLE traded away AJ Green because they knew they can get this guy later with extra picks.

I am real high on this guy. For those who can get him in the 8+ picks in a rookie draft I think are very lucky,

I agree. I just picked him up in YODT's rookie draft at 1.06. Even if he doesn't have a Mike Williams' type season this year, I'm willing to be patient cause I think the upside is worth it. However, I do see folks' concern that he hasn't played that much in general.

He hasn't played but showed up in tip top shape..I think this guy is determined to be good. I took him at 1.04 because I didn't want to miss out on him. I understand taking AJ Green (obviously) and Julio Jones (safer) over Little, but I do not agree with people taking Baldwin over Little.

He's a favorite pick across the boards by the various experts out there right now.

He's definitely a physical beast, I am worried about his relative little experience at the position (converted from RB), along with the attitude issues, along with a potentially shortened (or definitely shortened) pre-season and onboarding into the NFL and his team.

I think he's got fabulous potential, but I would be very surprised if he had a Mike Williams like rookie season...I think he'll be a slow starter, who may emerge into a very good #1 receiver over time.

I think people make too big a deal about players taking money and or gifts. For starters, you have to think a ton do and don't get caught. UNC, for whatever reason, just got caught big time last year.

At the end of the day, you have a bunch of 20 year old kids who are surrounded by scumbags who are trying to get a piece every way they can, and we're basically saying it is up to these kids to rise above where grown men fail to. It's a crock, really.

Now, when you've got some kid with violence issues or has actually stolen things or has a coke problem. Now you're talking "character issues". But these kids got busted for letting someone show them a good time. Against the rules? Sure, but nobody got hurt and, as long as the NCAA isn't serious about punishing the programs as much as the kids (or for that matter, inflicting punishment that might affect the NCAA's bottom line) and as long as the NFL doesn't start cracking down on agents who do this sort of thing, then I'm not going to give a rat's ass about some kids allowing someone to give them gifts.

If they want me to care, then don't let the kids participate in a very lucrative game like the Sugar Bowl only to suspend them for the joke OOC games that nobody watches the following year.

As far as his skills? Dude was a great and versatile player for UNC and played wherever they needed him. From RB to WR, depending on injuries at the position.

I'm less worried about the "character" side of things, because yes, it happens across the board. I'm more worried that he missed all those games and all that activity because of the punishment.

That said, I'm high on this guy as well, I've come around, but I don't think he hits the ground running as some may expect.

a guy that played the position for only one year is now going to take on #1 WR coverage?

I dont see the Little hype that high . . . .

You can't teach 6' 3" 220lbs

I love his upside and situation

Alot of QBs/RBs this year too but not that many WRs which made me take him so early.

How big is Baldwin again?

Hey, Little has potential, no doubt about it. But my expectations are tempered, particularly for the first few years.

Good point about Baldwin. I don't like where he landed.

I would take Cobb over him too actually.

Good point. That impressive Browns passing game is vastly superior to the Chiefs.

Hey, God Bless if you like him that much. I am not sold on the Little hype bandwagon quite yet.

The Browns' passing game will undergo a huge change this year as Holmgren puts his stamp on the team with a West coast offense. However, the longer we don't have camp, the less likely Little will develop in time for this season. Still, I like Little for the future.

I don't think most people would have taken Little that high. Did you consider trading down a couple of spots?

Only would have been able to trade one or two spots. If Little was there at 7, I'd have drafted him.

I've seen him grabbed as early as 4 but usually around 7. I didn't want to trade down and not get him for whatever reason.

Okay, I'll agree that there is some serious phyical talent in this kid. However, there are also concerns. He was a basketball player at NC, so he understands how to use his body, he has soft hands, and he will go after the ball at its apex and win jump balls. Big, physical, aggressive in getting to the ball. Got to love that in a WR.

Then there are the concerns. First on the field is whether he can stretch an NFL D, the second is his quick speed in getting separation, and the third is whether he'll rack up YAC. That would be enough to potentially move two to four guys ahead of him after the big two of Green and Jones.

The real concern I have is that he seems to have very real character issues. This goes beyond getting some perks but rather in lying about it when he got caught, and then continued to lie about it in interviews with NFL teams. There are also some on-field incidents at NC that are disconcerting - taking off his helmet while grandstanding on the field, yelling in openly dressing down teammates on and off the field, punting a football into the stands after scoring a TD, and de-cleating and badly injuring an opposing DB on a blindside block and then standing over the injured DB and taunting him.

Not sure I want to burn that high of a pick on this guy despite his pluses, given his history of being a bad teammate, a diva, and possibly a bad human being. That makes this kid a definitive boom-or-bust player who could run himself right off the field with his inability to control himself.

The guy is a stud athlete, and he does look like a beast with the ball in his hands... but unless you're 6-4 and can outrun the rest of the League, there's a certain amount of technical excellence required to succeed as an NFL receiver.

Little's development is retarded a season or two in comparison with the other top guys coming out at his position... 86 receptions for 969 yards and 6 TD's is his college production.

I don't believe he'll have immediate impact... Cleveland hardly has a developed passing attack... they barely have a QB.

Love his upside, but he's a guy you acquire and stash on the taxi for a couplea seasons, and that's the kind of draft value you put on him IMO.

Definitely a boom/bust prospect.

Most over hyped guy in the draft this year and its a joke. 4 months ago most didnt even know who this kid was, and now after not playing a single down of football last year, and very little experience even as a WR, he is going in the top 5 of a rookie draft as a WR. Just insane, and horrible value regardless. Give me RB Ryan Williams or RB Daniel Thomas over this guy at 4 or 5 any day.
