MustOfBeenDrunk
For those of you that are in dynasty leagues has anyone given any thought as to how you will handle the rookie draft next year ? I didn't care for many of the rookies coming out this year so I traded a lot of my picks for 2012 picks. Like most leagues our rookie draft order is decided by where a team finished with order given from worst to first. Well if there is no season than what ? I assume we would have some kind of random system much like it was the first year ? The thing that comes into play though is I limited my trading of 2011 draft picks to teams I thought would finish at the bottom this year. Therefor giving me better picks , but that could all back fire on me if there is no season Now I'm fairly certain that we will have a season this year ( too much at stake) but what if we don't ?? Is the chance too slim to even think about it ?

Bronco Billy
Weighted lottery based on last season. Well, there would be a whole year to figure it out, but you read my mind to a tee (you may want to seek therapy). Oh, and no frozen envelopes... MustOfBeenDrunk
Weighted lottery based on last season. But then the teams that received the 1st picks this year would again next year giving them the best rookies two years in a row. Probably a fair way of looking at it because they did finish at the bottom last year but still getting a say 1.01 two years in a row could make for a potent team ,, again I seriously doubt there is not going to be a season this year. Yes, but if you did it based on dice roll alone then you could end up with some of the top teams in the league getting the top picks. If you weight it then everyone still gets a shot, but you're more likely to have the lesser teams picking towards the top. Besides, if you look at any rookie draft throughout the past, the ratio of first round hits/misses are not all that great so it shouldn't make all that much of a difference. Savage Beatings
Weighted lottery based on last season. Yep. Then just like the NBA, you can go behind closed doors and secretively give the top picks to your favorite teams.
buddahj
I just hope we don't have to find out.
mrbass24
I'm with Budda, but if we do. I hope our league keeps it simple and doesn't over think it to much. Just throw the Rookies in with FA blind bidding and go to town Edited May 20, 2011 by mrbass24
Jackass
our league's doing an equal weighted lottery. figure teams with the worst record already got an advantage this year.

I would favor this for a draft, but I don't like the idea of a draft under these circumstances. I would prefer that teams conduct a rookie auction from an equal, set pool of cash. That way no team gets an advantage other than a strategic one that they create for themselves. Edited May 20, 2011 by Caveman_Nick
