keggerz
Not sure if I mentioned this but a couple of months ago I attended a class on Turf Management and the guy giving the class said that he gets to attend every Super Bowl to help prep the fields...pretty cool...well this past year the game was in Dallas and they have a synthetic field...but yeah he still gets to go to help with setup....well get this...on Friday one of the guys there helping to prep the field asks if anyone thought to check the measurements of the field markings (which are actually sewn into the turf)...well get this...the measurements were all off....so two days prior to the Super Bowl they have to paint all the markings on the field green and then repaint the lines at their actual distances....what happens with synthetic fields is that with use (playing and even driving vehicles for setup etc)they can end up out-of-line....the guy said that sometimes teams will take the heavier forklift type trucks(forget exactly what he called them) will get them up to full speed then nail the breaks to try and shimmy the turf back in place...talk about Edited June 3, 2011 by keggerz
Big John
No wonder parts of the field looked hastily put together, particularly near the middle. and contributed to the injuries that occurred Edited June 3, 2011 by Big John
Menudo
Obviously, that is the reason the Steelers lost.

Skippy
Yeah . . . THATS why . . . . . Look, when you design a play to go seven yards it is seven yards. Not 7.23 yards. It seems obvious to me.
