TNtitans
From ESPNs Rachel Nichols and Mortensen- Sources: NFL and NFLPA to have agreement in place potentially at July 21 meetings in Atlanta. If this happens there will be no scheduling or camp date changes. Also there would be a 7 day period before FA or trades could be announced or worked. Bronco Billy
That would almost certainly mean eating the HoF game. I know the game ins't a hugh deal to almost everyone here (including me), but it does mean the season was altered, which gives the league a black eye. I'm hoping for and agreement in principle by the end of this week with FA starting maybe Tuesday the 19th as the actual documents are hammered out and signed by next Friday. Seahawks21
I've said all along that a deal will be done the day before they would start to lose substantial money.
Bronco Billy
Is there some legal thing on July 19? I thought some judge said to get it done by then? Judge is coming back from vacation and has scheduled meeting between sides then
peepinmofo
can he force something? arbitration? I thought he was just acting as a mediator, and not an actual judge for this.

Skilly
From listening to Sirius NFL radio, most of the hosts are saying that the final point of contention is the number of initial contract years for the top 16 draft picks. I am positive that both sides will find a way to F this up, although on this issue I take the players position of having initial 4 year contracts instead of 5. bpwallace49
No matter what, we are in for some sloppy, sloppy football this year. Less time for rookies to get acclimated, less time for Free agents to know the system, less time for new QBs/coordinators/head coaches to put in "their" systems. Thank God my defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers have less turnover than most.
Chargerz
I'm going to predict they come to an agreement by this Sunday.
darin3
I didn't see this anywhere, but they supposedly made serious headway today on one of the bigger sticking points. They might have ironed out the rookie wage scale issue. With that taken care of, I think things could be done within 10-14 days.
