The 13ers
I've had a FF league for 11 years and we've had live, in person drafts every year. I've never had 100% attendance by all owners at the draft. Usually, the owner gets a proxy to draft for them or phones them in (we call them). Last year, we tried speaker phone on a cell phone, which worked barely good enough. I also broadcast it by having the draft board on webcam, but that also didn't work too well. I've done quite a bit of searching on the internet and cannot find anything that will work adequately. What I want is a website that will be a Yahoo, ESPN, or Sportsline type draft room, but I want to be able to control the time of rounds or have the individual owners advance the round once their pick is made. The idea is that we can have a live, in person draft, putting the picks up on the board as we go. At the same time, have the remote owners have the ability to see the updated draft as it happens. Most online drafts have a timer to make a pick (90 seconds) and none of them allow for both in person and remote drafting. (I should note that our drafts are friendly and we don't pressure people into making quick picks.) Does anyone know of any website I can do this with or have any other ideas? Thanks! Zooty
MFL of course pretty sure you can set the draft timer to anything you want. Set up a demo league and run as a mock draft
staniels12
MyFantasyLeague works great if you're down with the $70 for the season. You can customize your draft room any way you'd like, so it works perfectly with remote drafting.
Big John
MFL can do this somewhat. The commish sets the timer for how long the league wants. Then in the live draft page, the commish can enter picks manually for those in the room, which can be seen by all, then those away can enter their picks when their turn comes up. There is an area for a live chat there too.

stethant
We draft this way every year on CBS Sportsline with the vast majority of the league in person but one or two people every year with family/work commitments that draft online. The only catch here is that our commish has to go in and enter all the picks online manually for the live drafters. This can definitely be a distraction, although he seems to manage just fine. The commish also has control over round/draft timing , so that if there are problems he can start/stop the draft as need be. I would guess these features aren't unique to MFL or CBS but others can comment on that.

Old Money
We have about half of our guys show up in person to the live draft and the other half just get onto the leagues website in the league chat. When someone makes a pick, someone at the live draft just enters it into the league chat for the guys who aren't there to see what the pick was. i.e. Pick 1: AP Pick 2: CJ etc. There just need to be one guy at the live draft willing to enter the picks at the live draft into the league chat for the guys not there. If something goes wrong the the guy not there just calls in his pick until he can get his computper back up. If things are taking too long for one guy we just give him a warning on how much time he has left and its usually never a problem. Its not very high tech but it work just fine. Hope this helps. Big Country
Another thumbs up for MFL. we've done this a few times and it works out fine. Set up a conference call in, throw it on speaker phone, and the commish can enter picks online from the live draft and even for those not there if they are not online. Either connect the computer to a TV or get a projector and everyone can easily see he online draft room to. Very simple to do.
MikesVikes
Like Zooty said. you can set up a league at MFL, do a draft, change the scoring system and anything else you want for free. You don't have to pay for the league unless you decide to later, when the season begins.

Haven't checked to see if they have any discounts in effect right now.
The 13ers
As long as the cost is free, it'll work for me. I have a projector now. I'm also going to check out MFL and sportsline.
