JUMbotron
The Arizona Cardinals are interested in signing free-agent WR Braylon Edwards (Jets), after WR Steve Breaston went to the Kansas City Chiefs. The market for Edwards has been soft, which means he could come cheaper than expected. Huddle Up: It would be huge news for Kevin Kolb and Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz would have a proven (though erratic) threat on the other side to draw a safety's attention. Signing Edwards would also effectively eliminate both Early Doucet and Andre Roberts from all the sleeper talk lately. http://www.thehuddle.com/nfl/player/7179/ But involved in more trouble? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-...1XopI_blog.html
flemingd
I hope not. I don't think he brings much to the offense that they can't get in Roberts, Doucet, and the true sleeper, Stephen Williams plus a real TE now with Heap. He would just be another distraction from Kolb to keep force-feeding the ball to Fitzgerald.

I've been pimping A.Roberts as of late and that would pretty much kill any fantasy value he could have this year. I wouldn't mind seeing Edwards in SD but we all know AJ Smith doesn't sign big name FA's.
bushwacked
Braylon has to be severely lacking the mental capacity or desire to be an NFL player. I remember the scouting reports as a rookie for him were off the charts. Dude has looked like nothing more than an average WR for most of his career. lennykravitz2004
I've always thought about him going to Houston opposite AJ, with Daniels too. Of course, "Braylon Edwards" sounds an awful lot like "Chris Chambers" to me too...

JUMbotron
Cardinals kicker Jay Feely wants Edwards. Feely wants Cards to sign Edwards Jay Feely and Braylon Edwards share some history with both Michigan and the Jets? [Feely] is now an Arizona Cardinal. Could the same be said for Edwards soon? "I'd love to see it, I really would," Feely told Sports 620 KTAR's Dave Burns and John Gambadoro. Feely said teaming Edwards with Larry Fitzgerald, Chansi Stuckey and Todd Heap would create a dynamic offense. "I think getting that number two guy," he said, "if we can get him, and if the finances work." MTSuper7
I heard some talk on NFLN the other day about the soft market on Edwards. Speculation was that whoever signs him will likely offer a one-year "prove yourself" deal. Arizona would be a pretty good landing ground for him to try to prove it, and something tells me that Edwards might actually pan out if he's motivated to get another big contract. He just needs to sign on with a team that has some competence at QB (i.e. not Carolina, Seattle, Washington...)
The Wolf
wingoz trey wingo At 400 @AdamSchefter will have some very interesting info on future of Braylon Edwards on @NFLLIVEonESPN Possible that this, coupled with Rex Ryan comments, means a return to NY for Braylon? His market has not really developed.
The Wolf
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Jets free agent WR Braylon Edwards is scheduled to meet tonight with the San Francisco 49ers. Could be a prime spot for a 1-yr deal. Then again, maybe not...

I'd say San Fran does not qualify as a QB competent team, but maybe Alex Smith surprises. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

i_am_the_swammi
Edwards, Crabtreee and Davis as targets with Gore taking the heat off the passing game? The stars won't be aligned much more than this for Alex Smith.

JUMbotron
Jets let Edwards walk and he accepted $3.5m from 49ers. Jets paid Plaxico Burress $3m. Seems like kissing your sister. Same money, just switched erratic question marks. If anything Edwards was more valuable because he already knew the Jets system. Puzzling. I realize that Plaxico is sort of an idiot (I mean he shot himself for crying out loud)...but the scuttlebutt on local talk radio the last few days is all about Edwards off the field issues recently. Involved in a another fight over the weekend at 2:00 AM where a bouncer got stabbed with a fork by one of Braylon's entourage. Soooo much talent, so few brains. His off the field laundry list is pretty long and he isn't learning anything from his 'mistakes'.

osu1322
Yep..and a tractor or lawnmower as well. Crazy huh?? You can also get a DWI on a bike (with pedals) and a horse. Yeah the Browns figured out a while ago that Edwards isn't that great and the rest of the league has caught on.
