Avernus
I don't want Moss here...I like our WR's....signing Moss would be over the top with a safety...
Double Agent
I saw a basketball team from Miami do this once. Didn't work out for them.

Avernus
I saw a basketball team from Miami do this once. Didn't work out for them. what did this Miami team do.....sign an over-rated forward and a non-clutch prima-donna in addition to Dwayne Wade?.... the Redskin/Heat comparisons are laughable....and last I checked the Heat made it to the Finals....that alone is a feat regardless of who is on the team... i_am_the_swammi
just makes it all the more funnier when they fall short. really? why would it be funny? The Eagles made a nice play for Nnamdi, and got a player in a trade (DRC) for a QB everyone knew they were going to move. Other than that, none of the other signings were over-the-top spectacular, and many were just filling backup holes with players no one deems stars anymore (Brown, Young). you guys have your panties in a bunch for pretty much nothing....though it is pretty funny watching many here squirm. WaterMan
Eagles making moves. I don't see any other team making any news. :

i_am_the_swammi
the iggles for being cocky SOBs, calling themselves dream team before many of them have even had a single practice. Other than VY, our 3rd string QB who got reamed by the head coach for making that comment...which cocky SOBs are you referring to? You said "themselves" (plural), so it must have been a few of them that made that reference. Please provide me a link, since I must be under a rock...TIA. He probably is talking about Desean Jackson's TD celebrations speaking for the whole team the next 5 seasons. Nevermind there are 50+ other guys on the team. This. Was there some sort of bidding war for Brown and Young that I was unaware of? Hell, in the thread where the Young signing was discussed, half the people were concerned he didn't have the skin for that town. Young and Brown are damaged goods, and they got them cheap. Just like they should have. If either amounts to anything this year, it will be pennies from heaven. And like swammi said about DRC, that was a trade. A trade that everyone knew was going to happen one way or another. So, they signed the premier FA on the market. By definition, that happens each and every year. BearBroncos
I think this is merely political posturing for DeSean Jackson. It's nothing more than theater.
Double Agent
Eagles fans are touchy. I figured having a convicted felon at QB would thicken your skin.

It was my understanding that Brown was pursued by at least 3 other teams. Just sayin'...
matt770
Good for them. I hope they get Moss. I know it is difficult to play in a division where your 3 rivals have 11 Lombardi trophies between them and you have zero. Those fans are so knowledgeable and so passionate, I just know Andy really wants to deliver a championship to that great city. I for one hope they do win the Super Bowl after I'm dead. i_am_the_swammi
It was my understanding that Brown was pursued by at least 3 other teams. Just sayin'... Yep...it came down to the Rams and Eagles...and he took less money to come to Philly
BearBroncos
why? Because he's becoming the stain of the league. He's become seriously unstable. What finalized it for me was when he was in Min and he was protesting management, Favre lofted a beautiful pass to the end zone and it was absolutely catch-able but he batted it down. detlef
It was my understanding that Brown was pursued by at least 3 other teams. Just sayin'... That doesn't mean it was a bidding war. My point is simply that this is not Bosh and Bron going to Miami. This is one top FA that they managed to sign, one top player they traded a very coveted QB for and two guys who were hardly the crown jewels of the FA market. And if they get Moss, that means they're getting a guy who quite recently decided that nobody was giving him enough money so he'd retire.
