Ricky Williams to Ravens

Now that Baltimore has just signed Ricky WIlliams, I think we can say that the McGahee is back and will steal those goalline carries from Rice. I cant imagine it will be as many as in the past two years, but is a factor when drafting. I dont think Ricky WIlliams will have any value though.

Willis McGahee was firmly infused into Cam Cameron's scheme over a long period of time. The season starts in four weeks and Ricky hasn't even met Cameron yet. I wouldn't put too much into this, imo. Let's see if he actually wins the backup job first.

Dunno, he could be used in that GL area which sapped allot from Rice last year.

I think, however, the addition to Leach should help Rice retain much of the GL work... But, that's ife he can get between the tackles even with Leach.

That's been a misconception that Rice can't run between the tackles. I can't remember where I read about that, but there's plenty to refute that idea... But what's even less debateable is that the Ravens have not wanted to overwork Rice with the goal-line carries if there is anyone else who's capable...

Though there were at least several times last year where McGahee failed to get the ball in the endzone (perhaps why their rushing TDs were down last year), so it's not an automatic that Ricky will show an ability to get it done as well as Rice.. Seems like it will be much more dependent on how large of a workload they feel Rice can handle...
