MTSuper7
So, I find myself in the situation of being in San Diego for a work event the first week of November, and it just so happens that the Packers are in San Diego that weekend. Sounds like a great matchup, but I'm not really sure what the best way to go about getting tickets would be. I'm not sure if there is a Charger homer with specific insight into getting tickets to Charger games, or in general if anyone has any suggestions. This is a pretty big matchup, and with GB being defending champs, prices seem pretty steep. Then again, I've only looked on eBay and Stubhub so far. It has been a while since I've gone to an NFL game, and would appreciate any insight from fellow Huddlers on how to get the best deal. TIA -MT

TIA -MT You've already checked out the two sources 90% of the population use, so now you have a good feeling as to what the cost of the seats are going for in the secondary market. You could also try Craig's List, as many sellers are now using that source to sell tickets to avoid the hefty fees charged by EBAY and StubHub. Your best bet might be to wait until gameday, and search outside the stadium. You can often get a great deal by waiting until just after kickoff, as sellers don't want to be stuck with tickets. We've gone to countless Phillies games that way....wait until after the first inning, and you can find a scalper willing to get rid of them for less than face value, just so they don't eat the cost of the tickets. Its nerveracking to wait that long, and you miss all the player intros/pregame hoopla...but if saving money is your main objective, this is definitely the way to go. My biggest fear of waiting until game day is that the demand for this game will outweigh the supply. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just don't feel confident that there will be any scalpers in danger of being stuck with tickets. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I may end up taking my chances anyway. jetsfan
I've gotten tickets for all kinds of sporting events through ticketluck.com Disclaimer: I have NO affiliation with that site, I only use it to get NFL, NHL, Houston Rodeo and concert tickets dirt cheap. ETA: Last time I was in LA, I got Ducks tickets for $5/seat. Amazing. Edited August 15, 2011 by jetsfan

If demand will be as high as you think, scalpers will account for that. Two hours before gametime, they might be selling seats for 3-4x face value. Some will pay, some won't. 30 minutes before gametime, those prices will start to come down. At game time, they might be only 2x face value. And rest assured, there will be some scalpers with seats right at gametime....likely the guys that thought they could try to make 3-4x face value, got no takers, and waited too long to drop their price. Trust me, at this point, the bargaining power is in your hands.
Wizards
Go to Craiglist and US states, go to California, San Diego and if you haven't registered in Craigslist do so and you can go to "my account" and post what you are looking for and it will come right to your cell if you set the account with the same e-mail...you can do it when you want....I go to Craigslist all the time and go to the city/state and pick the tickets category and at the top filter "by-owner" so you deal with people who own the tickets and not dealers...I got Panther -Packer tickets lower level 9/18/11 for $83 each (2 tickets) via an owner who can't go....try it! 'canes2004
I always use Stub Hub and have never had a problem. I usually wait until the week before the game, concert etc. as you will find the prices lower the longer you wait. I've had to fork over a few extra bucks at times to have the tickets over-nighted but usually I'm saving enough to warrant that option. Plus Stub Hub will guarantee your purchase and give you a 1-800 number if you get to the game and have an issue where is if you go the Craigs List route, you're on your own.
