tazinib1
New York Giants QB Eli Manning thinks he is a top-caliber quarterback, enough so to put himself in the same class as New England Patriots QB Tom Brady. 'I consider myself in that class and Tom Brady is a great quarterback, he's a great player and what you've seen with him is he's gotten better every year and he started off winning championships and I think he's a better quarterback now than what he was, in all honesty, when he was winning those championships,' Manning said.Huddle Up: Umm, OK Eli. Sure, your Giants took down the mighty beast a few years ago, but you've got a ways to go before you're in Mr. Brady's neighborhood. Fantasy-wise, Manning is solid enough, but somewhat unspectacular. Brady has the potential to blow up, regardless of who lines up as pass-catchers.

flemingd
Makes you wonder if he played in just about any other system in the universe besides Coughlin's what he could do.
Ditkaless Wonders
I too like to compare myself to Tom Brady. After all we have both made love to Gisele Bundchen. Of course he has done so in reality while I have only done so in my wildest dreams. Still, it is pretty much the same thing. I'm pretty sure when Eli made his comment he wasn't referering to fantasy football valuation..

I don't see where in that update where the site insinuates that he had fantasy football on his mind when he made the comment. In fact, that's why the word "fantasy-wise" was used. michaelman
yeah I'm Sure OP was just trying to put a fantasy "spin" on the news. As far as being TOP 5 goes... this link explains Eli's stance. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/...tom-brady-thing Basically says that all top players in any sport think that they are one of the best. Even if they don't ... they have to because it's part of what it takes to be competitive. you don't hear CARMELO Anthony say that he can't ball with KOBE.. And even though they're ranked over 10 players apart... MELO d e s t r o y s the Lakers every time.
