robert terni
We've been doing this league for 7 years now and we are finally jumping onto the "Keeper" boat...The co-commish and myself came up with 2 formats 1) Heres the simple format ...All teams keep 2 players for a max of 3 yrs..and teams dont lose any draft rounds 2) Pretty much the same as 1st format but the 2 players that teams choose to keep you would lose the round where you drafted that player..for an example a team wants to keep peterson (1st round pick) and fitzgerald (3rd round pick) and you keep them for 3 yrs..that team would not have a 1st and 3rd round pick for the 3 yrs..but say they drop fitzgerald in the 2nd yr and they keep a player that they drafted with 6th round pick..then they would get their 3rd round back but lose their 6th round...this format would make it more work for me since I have to keep track of where players were drafted every year... If any of you commish and do the 2nd format, in what ways do u keep track of where players were drafted so u know what rounds teams forfeited for next yrs draft? Please give me your advice since this is my 1st yr conducting a keeper league..thanks

RU in Ohio
we do an auction, but to keep track of where they are drafted, most sites have "wildcard" fields on the roster page that you can customize. I know CBS does, and fantrax...places like yahoo don't, so if I were you, I'd join a site that lets you do that...when you enter the rosters, you can enter the drafted postion for every player and you're done. anyone?
