SLAYER
just heard he is thinking about appealing his NFL suspension. If he don't watch his step Roger will kick his azz out of the draft.
BearBroncos
He should. It's rediculious for a NCAA suspension to carry over to the NFL. Apples and Oranges and the suspension should be lifted. Granted, it's Pryor we're talkin about here
caddyman
just heard he is thinking about appealing his NFL suspension. If he don't watch his step Roger will kick his azz out of the draft. this kid is truly an idiot. He should go about his business as quitely as possible. He has never done that. Not sure why it matters. He will NEVER be a qb in the NFL. Not sure there is a position for him. Maybe, maybe tight end. Don't worry Pryor, there are plenty of minimum wage jobs here in Western PA if your drug dealing career does not work out.
keggerz
his suspension is not a carry over...it is for "undermining the rules and integrity of the supplemental draft"...you know the draft they let him into

tazinib1
Egad...this kid sure knows how to play the system though....to bad that will never translate onto the field. And ya know...to be honest, I hope he does appeal. Then we have a legal precedent.
Old Money
I heard he was going to appeal it AFTER he gets drafted. He should just take his suppension and be happen he doesn't have to sit out the whole year and wait for the 2012 Draft. Idiot.
gsmayes
Uncle Roger is a joke. The NCAA is a joke. And of course he's *thinking* about appealing, any rational adult would weigh all the options available to him. It seems to me that Pryor has surrounded himself with the best in the business so far; no matter how much I dislike Rosenhaus, he's good for his clients. Ditkaless Wonders
The best thing for this kid would have been to eat a little humble pie quietly and without complaint. This will not endear him to G.M.'s who are wondering if the kid has learned anything or grown from his mistakes. It reeks of wanting to avoid responsibility for ones actions. Most G.M.'s look for Q.B.'s who want responsibility.

Donutrun Jellies
Which is why the NFL should have told him to wait until next year Agreed. Albeit by then, he'd likely go astray and be in jail, but that too would be his own doing.

detlef
Which is why the NFL should have told him to wait until next year Yep. And, at very least, not make the suspension exactly as long as his college penalty. Way to convenient a connection right there. I can see the NFLPA fighting this because they're lawyers and everything is a slippery slope and a precedent. So, it actually makes sense to them. As for Pryor, he's a project and everyone knows that. There's not a team in the league who was looking for him to make an immediate impact. He's likely not going to be playing QB anyway, so he needs to learn a new position. In fact, if someone does see him as a QB, then it's going to be even longer before he sees the field. He'd be toting a clipboard for at least a year. So, what's the big deal. Just serve your suspension. It's costing you playing time that you are almost certainly not going to get. You;re about to get paid nearly what you made at OSU, so maybe the paychecks start a bit later. It would be good for your image to just chill. I have a fundamental issue with employers demanding drug testing because I think it amounts to allowing a private individual the ability to infringe upon your rights in a way the police and government are not allowed to. And if it was my job to fight against this sort of thing, I would. But it's not. So, when I took a wine sales job a few years back and the company wanted me to pee in a cup, I thought, "Well, they're just making sure I don't do something that I used to do years ago and no longer do. And I need this job, so what the hell?" Pryor should approach this the same way, even if the NFLPA doesn't. They want him to sit out games he was almost certain not to play in, so whatever. kpholmes
Despite the fact that I think FoxSport's Jason Whitlock is tool and rarely has anything decent to say, his article on Goodell crossing the line with this situation is an interesting read. KOKIDKOKID
I at least applaud the NFL for making Pryor serve a penalty (or trying to anyway)...a penalty he knew he wouldn't have to serve when got his supposed suspension but was allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl anyway and lead OSU past Arkansas by 5. That was such BS by the NCAA he should never have been allowed to play in that game when they couldn't gaurantee he'd actually serve out his suspension. If I were an Arkansas fan I'd be upset over the whole thing...anyway, good for the NFL for trying to make him feel even a tiny sting of a suspension. tazinib1
Watching NFL Network and his post "combine", Pryor stated he will NOT challenge the NFL's 5 game suspension and thanked Goodell for giving him the opportunity to be drafted in the Supp.
