I mean, the guy was probably the best TE coming out of college this past year and was a 2nd round selection. Shiancoe is nursing a hammy injury and this is giving the kid an opportunity to earn more valuable in-season playing time. Also looks like they took their starters out very early and they're playing only base packages on D. I know Payton doesn't want to show them anything since we play in week 3, but they could at least show them that they can tackle. Greer looked awful - They teach you proper tackling tech. at 7yrs old, but this guy puts his head down, looks at the ground and reaches out with one arm to try and tackle a 240lbs running back.
