Jackass
Derrick Ward roars onto the fantasy speedway with Ben Tate cruising right behind him. It is what it is, and trust me, we’re in for a lot more injuries as we go along. I had assumed Tate would be the main beneficiary of Foster's absence. Is that wrong? Ward is ahead of him on the depth chart at the moment. I agree that Tate will be the guy, but at the moment it is not the case.

JUMbotron
Whoops Kevvin sorree Ben Tate made the team, first things first. Derrick Ward is the backup. Kubiak's not gonna throw Tate out there much in the beginning, especially on passing downs where he could get Schaub killed. But by midseason, who knows? Keeper Deluxe for sure! Square
Whoops Kevvin sorree Meh, don't worry about Rattree. He can be a little grumpy.

JUMbotron
If I'm wrong about Hightower I'll have to re-name the JUMbotron "Umbrella" because doo-doo will be raining on me.
MustOfBeenDrunk
great read as always, I just drafted Hightower, I hope you are wrong! Nothing wrong with drafting Hightower depending where drafted him at though ?
JUMbotron
Yeah, Hightower is 5th round these days.... sometimes 4th, sometimes 6th.... ....but you know who Shanahanitis works: You become flushed with pride, boasting that you have "the latest product in the Denver RB machine".... Fantasy owners who contract it often become ornery, with red welts, literally itching to yell "I told you so."
whyme23
I got a bad case of Shanahanitis myself....I think Hightower will surprise you this year
SLAYER
I got a bad case of Shanahanitis myself....I think Hightower will surprise you this year yes we know and I think you have earned the honary title of "The Tim Hightower Nut Hugger" To learn about your duties and reponsabilities of this title contact taz, he can teach you the way. I'll accept that title, but only if rattsass accepts the title of "Benson's Butt-Buddy." It's only fair.
JUMbotron
Funny stuff... Hey can I be the Felix Jones 'Hugger, my crush is going beyond normal. It's Fred Taylor all over again. They even both wear #28.
i_am_the_swammi
....but you know who Shanahanitis works: You become flushed with pride, boasting that you have "the latest product in the Denver RB machine".... Fantasy owners who contract it often become ornery, with red welts, literally itching to yell "I told you so." the Shanny jokes are a little old, especially when you consider there are many other teams who have proven to be equally, if not more, frustrating (see Patriots, Chiefs, Dolphins, Cowboys, etc) trying to pick the right back. Moreover, I think its been well documented that if Shanny has a healthy and productive RB, he sticks with him (see Portis, Torain in recent years...neither of whom was benched when performing well). it will be very interesting to see how this plays out.... but I think ts Hightower's job to lose, and the only way he does is if he sucks, or gets hurt. It's an official huddle title. Taz will be along shortly to explain. one question thick or thin? Jumbo you know what to do. put in your sig like Taz. delusions of grandeur
the Shanny jokes are a little old, especially when you consider there are many other teams who have proven to be equally, if not more, frustrating (see Patriots, Chiefs, Dolphins, Cowboys, etc) trying to pick the right back. The thing about most of the teams you mentioned is that you know it's a RBBC going in, and devalue or avoid accordingly.... But in the case with Shanny in recent years, it's like he'll give a nice taste of the guy for a few weeks as a feature back, and then yank him right out from under you once you get remotely comfortable with him... BTW, another nice column JUM, but yea, ya better hope the Hightower, Felix, McFadden and Forte owners aren't calling for your head by the end of the season!
