ccc1
Whats the story with this cat? 21 mil guaranteed after missing 10 games last year and I cant find a lick of fantasy info on him. Worth drafting for RB2 and what round. Standard league
detlef
Certainly worth drafting, and likely sooner than I seem to be able to come to grips with doing myself. I think he's going to have a nice year but just can't pull the trigger on taking him as soon as it seems I need to.
Grits and Shins
I couldn't pass on him in the 6th round as my 2nd RB. I really wanted to avoid the CAR backfield largely because the offense looked so putrid last year and I'm not sure how a rookie QB helps that situation. Â +1 Â I got him as well this year...after I had no intention of doing so. I was lucky to get him as my RB3 (3-player keeper league, so I had Rice, drafted Forte 1.03, got Williams 3.03....so essentially a 6th round pick, too) Â Hoping he can get off to a solid start to the season Week 1 @ ARZ, his value skyrockets, and I can shop him for a lower-end WR1. Â I like D-Will this year for the reason that Otah was suppose to be back and healthy. Now he has swelling in his knee again that kept him out for the entire season last year. Â Without Otah the line will be much of the same as last year....which is not very good.
loaf
I had hoped the OL would have been improved which is why I spent the 53rd overall on him..but at that point the others in his grouping were Moreno, Benson and Beanie...
JUMbotron
All I know is, you don't guarantee someone $21 million to be in a 50-50 RBBC, or even 60-40.

I think this is proof alone that Carolina does not believe Stewarts Achilles issue is going away. He missed time last year cause of it, it swelled again this year. Carolina locked up a good back and will keep him fresh and if Jstew does go down they are in good shape.

Which is the sole reason I did indeed reach for him....that, and John Fox is out of the mix. They are gonna give him 20-25 carries a game for the next 3 years. Just need him to average close to 4.0 YPC, and he'll produce solid stat lines. The biggest question is his TD production. He'll need a handful of 20+ yard TD runs to get it done, as I don't see too many 1st and goal opportunities for this squad.  I think you'll see a couple 160-yard/2 TD games.....and a few more 60 yard/0 TD efforts. That' quasi-ugly for fantasy purposes, as it likely means you'll suffer a "L" on his bad weeks if indeed you are relying on him. His combined stats at the end of the year will look acceptable/solid for a RB2/RB3, but I am thinking you'll have to guess right on which weeks to use him. This has been beaten to death already, but Jerry Richardson is making good on a promise he made Williams two years ago. Also remember that they were below the "cap ceiling". Yes, there is no individual salary cap per individual teams, but there is a league wide cap that all teams combined must be at 99% of the cap. If you really think that the Panthers are just going to forget about Stewart you're kidding yourself.
