KOKIDKOKID
Soooo what is the story with Austin? I don't believe I have seen him in any pre-season games yet this year...is he dinged up? If so, how badly? I keep seeing him get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round of many drafts (both mock and real) and yet I am just wondering what's up with him this year? Thanks. delfamdelfam
yeah I'd also like to know this, no news is usually good news but in this case I'm not so sure.

delfamdelfam
He's having hamstring issues. that's obvious, but there hasn't been much news on how he's progessing, is he even going to play week 1?

KOKIDKOKID
It is obvious...but the OP asked if he was dinged up. Thanks I did know about the hamstring issue thanks to the Huddle updates...sorry, I guess I was hoping a Cowboy homer (from Dallas maybe) would have some local intel...I live in 49er country and am a huge Dallas Cowboy fan but we never hear jack about anything other than how much Alex Smith sucks and how bad Oakland Raider fans are...etc. So to re-ask my question...anyone know if he is good to go in Week #1 because I can't seem to find that kind of info and I am bit nervous to draft him that high without knowing...also without Austin I think Dez's value drops too...they need each other to be an effective WR tandem I think - you can't shut them both down I wouldn't think if you are scheming a defensive plan. Thanks. KO'd

I have Miles in a couple of leagues...he started off great last year and then went in the tank when Bryant started getting some love. I believe Dez becomes the number one receiver in Dallas relatively early.

With Romo back Dez will still get his but Austin, if healthy enough, will be back to sure-fire fantasy starter.

I believe Dez becomes the number one receiver in Dallas relatively early. Assuming Miles is healthy (I chose to keep Nicks over Miles in my keeper league because I hammy's can linger) I think there won't be enough balls to go around to make either Miles or Dez a top 10 fantasy WR, especially with a healthy Witten. I see Miles as more of the long ball threat while Dez is a play maker.
OCSkins
I heard Austin injured his hammy when he was trying to mount Kim Kardashian's ginormous @ss!
joeAMMO
Is Dez still returning kickoffs and punts this year? if so then IMO that'll add more value to him that Miles wont get. I think Dez will be way more effective this year than last, with Romo back both recievers will get thier chance to make big plays. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out but Cowboys passing game will with out a doubt be effective and in turn increases the recieving cores value as the season progresses. Scooby's Hubby
Dez will do punts. Miles will start the opener. Miles will still be great after the catch, and if the Jets test his hammy immmediately, he is liable to burn them deep. You try to put Revis on Dez and the Jets lose matchup wise; Miles is too much of a deep threat and Dez is great enough to handle Revis' coverage. The real key af the game will be if the Jets blitz, then who covers Witten? There is your mis-match. Witten should have a big game and I expect Felix will have a long run after catch. HowboutthemCowboys
somewhere recently (ESPN?) I saw a stat that showed Miles' numbers since he became a starter with Romo under center. I can't find them but there were large. If Mile's is healthy he'll be #1 in yards and catches this year in Dallas. Dez being on the field will only help IMO. again only my opinion but Witten would'nt have had the year he did last year if Romo had played all season.
