delusions of grandeur
So there's always a conversation about "what constitutes a sleeper"? Is it a guy who's simply undervalued or a guy truly flying under the radar? In this thread, it's pretty simple. These are the guys you might find on your waiver wire or as late draft fliers. My pick for this year is: Eddie Royal.... Admittedly, this is in part because I have no choice but to start him in a 16-team dynasty, but I'm starting to get the feeling that he could really surprise people... We all remember how he followed up his stellar rookie year by completely disappearing off the radar in McDaniel's first year in Denver... They just didn't utilize him in the passing game at all that year, so then last year McD stated that he wanted to get Royal more involved... And that he did, in the first 4 games Royal averaged 6 catches a game and 75 yards with 2 TDs in that span, but a hip injury once again threw him off the fantasy radar... So here we are in 2011, with Royal back healthy in a new system where he could potentially thrive...Yes, Thomas and Decker are promising prospects, but especially early on and perhaps for this year may be too raw (and in Thomas's case injured) to really push him for the starting gig... Add to that Lloyd should draw a lot of attention, and having Orton back instead of Tebow should also help his chances... Of course he is still in that barely-draftable flier range, but don't be surprised if he puts up serviceable or better stats in PPR leagues. Who you guys got as a flier who could end up start-worthy? tazinib1
Andre Roberts even though his ADP has been on the rise as of late.
yilduz
I'm in an 18-team IDP league. The guys on my roster that I'm considering sleepers are Visanthe Shiancoe, Denarius Moore, and Evan Moore. I've heard a lot of great things about both Moores, and think they'll both play well this season. Shiancoe, I haven't been hearing anything positive, but I like the system and new setup they're doing in Minnesota, and think Shiancoe will benefit. We'll see, though. I'll likely be WAY off... but it'll be a learning experience for me. :P
rajncajn
I've mentioned Evan Moore before & was scoffed at. I also like Victor Cruz this year,,, and yes, they are both on my dynasty squad.

delusions of grandeur
Another one to keep in mind is Steve Breaston with Moeaki going down... I know the Chiefs offense is looking pretty sad outside of Charles and Breaston has a tendency to get dinged up, but Cassel can't throw every pass to Bowe, and Baldwin has pretty well underperfomed and punched his way out of playing time. No, I was trying to throw folks off the scent on Evan. It didn't work and I missed out on him.

Outshined
If were talking super sleepers, I think at some point this year, Kyle Rudolph will have some sort of impact for the Vikings. It might be earlier than later if Shiancoe's hamstring is not healed. Shiancoe has not played in the preseason because of it. The Vikings did not keep a fullback on the 53 man roster and only 3 RB's, so I don't know if he will see the field more or not. I wouldn't run out and grab him, but keep an eye on him. SecondString
I'm going with DeMarco Murray. Dallas neeeeeeds a running game, and I think they will realize that Felix Jones is not the answer (if he really was the answer, he would've been the answer last year). He's not that kind of back that you can rely on for that kind of heavy load. They will start working Murray in, he will begin to impress, and he will get more & more touches as the year goes on. Bonedaddies
Harry Douglass if you start him in the right week(s) Sproles may make some noise Brandon Gibson might break out of the "Lou" pack

OCSkins
Skins D, Skins D, Skins D, Skins D!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't know if Ed Dickson fits the definition of a 'super sleeper', but Heap had lots of success in Balt and now Dickson fills that role. Seems to be flying under the radar thus far, largely ignored.

OCSkins
I'm all in on Hardesty and Jordy Nelson this year. We'll see. Just curious, but why Hardesty? Seems like Hillis nailed down the job already. Are you thinking Hardesty will get a lot of reps to keep Hillis fresh throughout the entire season? Are you thinking Hardesty will get a lot of reps to keep Hillis fresh throughout the entire season? Brandon Jackson's IR stint is going to give Hardesty plenty of touches this year, and I'm betting he'll do a lot with them, and you'll see a Bradshaw/Jacobs type of scenario. He's nothing more than a #4 F RB right now, but I think he can be a strong contributor down the line.

JUMbotron
To me a Super-Sleeper is a player undrafted in most 12-team leagues. I'll throw out: Chargers WR Patrick Crayton (if Floyd or Jackson go down, Wham!) Cardinals WR Early Doucet (Andre Roberts gets love from everyone but me it seems) 49ers RB Kendall Hunter (Jim Harbaugh quietly named him the No.2) Lions QB Shaun Hill (I'm a huge fan because he always produces when Stafford goes down... ) Bengals WR Jordan Shipley (just a hunch he'll be relevant in PPR leagues) Redskins TE Fred Davis (Cooley's knee is reportedly doggin' him pretty bad)
