giantsfan
Detroit Green Bay Philly New Orleans Chicago Those teams will be pass heavy. Carolina Denver Those will be run heavy. I don't buy all the Atlanta hype yet in terms of passing all over the field. Think they pass more this season, but still run a lot as well. i_am_the_swammi
In my mind, it will mostly be teams that are forced to abandon the rushing game in 2nd halves in order to play catch-up or keep-up. So, with that in mind: BUF DAL ARZ SF IND
keggerz
I have been reading a bunch of team's media releases and read something in the Bears that like I said made me go hmmmmm.... You know we all have those preconceived notions; Mike Martz is pass happy, the Steelers are a run heavy team, Andy Reid is a pass first coach...you know, stuff like that...well this is the blurb I found in the Bears Media Release...I know that the preseason means next to nothing but still felt it was worth pointing out...but I was most shocked by the 1st paragraph below. After finishing with the sixth most balanced offense in the NFL overthe last nine weeks of the 2010 regular season (258 rushing attempts and 276 pass plays - attempts plus times sacked), the Bears continued that trend during the 2011 preseason. With 144 pass plays and 134 rushing attempts, Chicago fi nished the 2011 preseason with the sixth most balanced offense. MOST BALANCED OFFENSES 2011 Preseason Total Rush Pass Balance Team Plays Plays Plays Ratio 1. St. Louis 274 136 138 1.015 2. Miami 230 116 114 1.017 3. Pittsburgh 233 115 118 1.026 4. Minnesota 243 119 124 1.042 5. Tennessee 226 117 109 1.068 6. Chicago 278 134 144 1.075 7. Cincinnati 256 123 133 1.081 8. Denver 243 116 127 1.095 9. Detroit 271 145 126 1.131 10. Philadelphia 268 125 143 1.144 > Pass plays equal attempts plus times sacked edit: I bolded the teams that were guessed to have the biggest disparities Edited September 6, 2011 by keggerz

i_am_the_swammi
did you include times sacked? if not it could be off a bit just went to NFL.com and grabbed team net rushing totals and passing totals, plugged them into a spreadsheet, computed differential, then sorted. You are correct, it could be off a tad.
