The season is exactly 1 game old, and already I'm outcoaching myself right into idiocy.

Had Sproles in my starting lineup (16 team league) because I thought NO would have to pass a bunch to keep up with GB. This is also a league where we get return yardage. Then I start doing a bunch of research, reading differing opinions, and go right against my better judgment and remove Sproles from my starting lineup and insert Andre Roberts instead, because of what a crappy pass D CAR is supposed to have and the uncertainty in the NO RB rotation.

Needless to say, Sproles' 23+ FF pts is now sitting on my freakin' bench in a matchup against one of the top teams in the league. Now Roberts is going to have to come up with a 6 catch/100+ yd/1 TD game (while sharing time as AZ's WR2) just to break even.

Hi, my name is Bronco Billy, and I'm a FF moran.

If there's one thing I've learned from a decade or so doing this stuff, it's best to hold off and wait for all the games to be played (to completion) before you start whining OR bragging.

Aside from replacing an injured/out player, I'd say my success rate with game-day roster changes is about 25%. At this point I just try to suppress any such urges because your first instinct (if you have been playing as long as we have) is usually correct. But you know that. Moran.

Thought about it several times during the day, then the overwhelming urge to put him my line-up hit me about the time I was putting my son to bed. I come out of his room and see it's 8:32 but the game hasn't started yet so I run to the computer... he's locked... I run back in to see the game still hasn't started... tried to put him in at exactly 8:35 to no avail... game actual starts at 8:42. Fargin' Bastage!!!

The worst part is I'm the commish and seriously considered just overriding it and putting him in. Being a good commish, I opted against opening that potential can o worms.

Anymore I try not to set my lineups til the last minute. I still make a ton of mistakes, but I don't kick myself in the ass for pulling someone at the last minute

This is one I struggle with. It comes down to out-smarting yourself and not trusting your instincts. And I'm a dumb-arse to begin with.

Every time I make a last second swap it burns me.
