Panthers MLB Jon Beason (Achilles') is listed as questionable for Week 1.

Both Beason and RT Jeff Otah (knee) are listed as questionable, but coach Ron Rivera was reportedly less emphatic about Beason's likelihood of playing. We would recommend starting Beanie Wells and sitting Beason in all IDP leagues. Sep 9 - 1:14 PM

Just found this, posted minutes ago:

Panthers coach Ron Rivera expects MLB Jon Beason (questionable, Achilles') to play Sunday against the Cardinals.

Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette doesn't expect Beason to play every down, as the star linebacker will likely need to be eased back into the lineup. Beanie Wells is a must start in all fantasy formats, though he'd see a nice boost if Beason is declared inactive. As for Beason, we would recommend sitting him in IDP leagues this week regardless of his status.

Official word will come around 3 pm

I need to know before then. Any word from coach Rivera or Beason himself today?

What Zooty is talking about is the only official word you will get on game day, INACTIVES...they are published approximately an hour before each team's game.

The Panthers believe LB Jon Beason has torn his Achilles, but will wait for wait for an MRI Monday to confirm, sources said..

If the injury is serious, doesn't this make Thomas Davis more value over Dan Connor?
