marcheese
Maybe a few changes may be in order. link 3. Steelers 5. Saints 6. Falcons 9. Colts Yeah because when you lose by 1 score to the #1 ranked team, you should be dropped to the bottom tier

CowboysDiehard
Not sure how high the Cowboys are ranked in that list, but it's a good bet they aren't as high as the guy who ranked them!
MikesVikes
Yea, maybe the Saints won't be one of the biggest movers. I also don't think that one week is long enough to start making predictions about who will win the Luck sweepstakes. I even see the Falcons mentioned in that one. Of course some teams have new coaching staffs and some teams don't. Teams with new coaching staffs will probably see a slower start this year because of the offseason lockout. The Vatican Hitsquad
How in the wide, wide world of sports are the Chiefs ranked 6 slots higher than Buffalo after that beating they were handed?
dfv87
How in the wide, wide world of sports are the Chiefs ranked 6 slots higher than Buffalo after that beating they were handed? THIS +1 In most "rankings" I am familiar with you should be ranked higher than somebody you beat... much less beat 41-7?!?!?!
Outshined
Dallas at 14, eh? Yep, stoned to the gills! Probably be top ten if Romo didn't have a 4th quarter meltdown.
cdrudge
How in the wide, wide world of sports are the Chiefs ranked 6 slots higher than Buffalo after that beating they were handed?Because it's only just the first week of the season and they already had teams ranked based on their preseason. Just like you shouldn't ditch all your underperforming players after just the first week, you don't completely reorder the power rankings even if there was a blowout. I don't think a lot of people had high hopes for the Bills this year, and a lot of aren't sure if that was a one week fluke or if they underestimated them. The preseason rankings are never geared in reality, and its the regular season that you have to go off of. An opening day, head-to-head whooping is a much better indication of what a team is and isn't than any pre-season-based performance ranking. Now is the time to reshuffle the deck a bit, Buffalo either deserves more respect for handing KC a beating or KC deserves to be dropped in the rankings behind the team that beat them down. loaf
Nope, I think it's just right 32 (29) Browns 0-1 If the Browns can't beat the Manning-less Colts next week, it's going to be a long season. (Walker)
resteasy
they have the eagles #3 over the ravens at 4.... really? ESPN is all over vick's -- bills should be ranked higher no matter what with how well they played. anyone with an argument that this is week 1 so KC shouldn't be below bills cause it's one game take a look at the colts drop. Obviously this guy named a few teams he knew then pulled the rest from a hat.
