XFlash
Can it really be about the change in defense? He is a real gamer and I can't see his production going down due to scheme, but last week hurt. I was hopeful for week 2 against rookie QB (Cam should come back down to earth this week), but I am staying away until I see improvement. Anyone else have him? Anyone starting him? keggerz
The Packers are using the same scheme that they have since Dom Capers took over as their DC back in 2009 so I am not sure what you mean about a scheme change. In 2009 Woodson ranked 3rd among DBs In 2010 Woodson ranked 15th among DBs As for this week I have Woodson as a 3-Star play but I am concerned that Cam and the Panthers could struggle and Woodson would be short on opportunities but my gut says he can at the very least hit 10-12 points this week. XFlash
Defensive Back: Charles Woodson has been the leading fantasy point scorer in the Packers secondary for each of the past two seasons. In 2010, he ranked 15th and in 2009 he ranked 3rd in fantasy points among defensive backs. Woodson should once again put up top 15 numbers and at worst, I could see him finishing the year as a DB2. Unfortunately, since Dom Capers installed his 3-4 defense no other secondary player for the Packers not named Woodson has consistently put up viable fantasy numbers. That means that I find it difficult to rank Nick Collins, Tramon Williams, and even Morgan Burnett any higher than DB4’s. Sure Burnett is going to man the SS position and does present some upside but I think you should be able to find a much better DB at a later point in the draft compared to where you will probably have to draft Burnett. My bad Keg. I did not read fully, just skimmed it. I hope it is just a slow start for CW. Saints offense is far above CAR and I assumed the CW would have had more production, but then again it is early in the season and the lockout is a factor with teams not performing up to par as compared to years past. (IMO).
