I have to ask, does the U in John U. Miller stand for Ulysses? (Or is it your fantasy football writer rating for the week, U for Upside, in which case methinks you may be a tad underrated, lol.) Good stuff as always, JUMbo.

You didn't keep reading

Yeah, i did. The way the paragraph reads, you stated that the Rams believe he can play with a severly bruised finger. But from your opening sentence of the paragraph, you feel that its likely he misses the game

Just was looking for some clarification as to whether you truly think he misses the game, and if you feel the Rams are being tight-lipped about an injury. Maybe you heard something others didn't? Its cause for concern for many fantasy owners since the game is on Monday Night. If Bradford is inactive, owners may not have another option to go to unless they have Manning or Feely on their rosters.

The Rams are likely going into Week 2 on Monday night at the New York Giants without QB Sam Bradford (finger), RB Steven Jackson (quad), WR Danny Amendola (elbow), and their top corner Ron Bartell (neck). Oh, and RT Jason Smith has what is believed to be a high ankle sprain; even if he plays he’ll be less than 80%. Bradford’s right index finger is seriously bruised but they are saying he can go. He threw “pretty well” on Thursday according to team medical correspondent WR Mike Sims-Walker. The 2011 season is already a nightmare for St. Louis, whose schedule from Weeks 3 to 8 is about the hardest I’ve seen: vs. Baltimore, vs. Washington, bye week, at Green Bay, at Dallas, vs. New Orleans. Speaking of Sims-Walker, apparently he lost the battle to replace Amendola in the slot. Greg Salas will get first crack at it per the Post-Dispatch and I’m intrigued because Bradford looks underneath more than any QB in the league. I’ll remind you that Salas played slot in the run-n’-fun offense at Hawaii (just like Davone Bess did) and caught 119 passes last year. Note: Brandon Gibson (5 targets last week) remains the flanker and Sims-Walker (4 targets) stays at split end.

Well, I don't think it's an absolute lock that he'll play, since he's been wearing some special glove to stimulate blood flow, obviously a nasty little deal there. Throwing hand. “He’s kind of over the hump and he looks like he’ll be okay,” Spagnuolo said Thursday. It seems that most of you would have other nice options given this suddenly deep QB crop (Henne, Fitzpatrick, Newton), especially since it's a MNF game and most lineups lock Sunday.

In my 16-teamer, Bradford is my starter....and Garrard was my back-up

Definitely effective but chaffing does become a concern after prolonged use...

I love how light the mood is this time of year. No one's worse than 0-1, the FF humor flows

Best funny of the day comes from The Huddle's own Paul Sandy of Fantasy 6-Pack fame:

"Drafting Knowshon Moreno and hoping he stays healthy is a lot like easing out a fart in an elevator and hoping it doesn’t smell. It’s a bad idea and you will regret it immediately."

I know, he's a writer, they have to be witty(right JUMbo?), but it literally made me laugh out loud.
