Sidney Rice

What kind of wait should we expect out of a torn labrum? I know Rice is on a crappy offense, but against a bad defense he could be nice for matchups later in the season.

Anyone with an inkling on this injury? Or ones like it of the past?

Its not good...depending how bad it is, he could be out for a while. The only one I can recall having a torn labrum was Matt Birk. He had one on his hip and I think he may have had surgery and was out 3-4 months.

From rotoworld:

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed Monday that Sidney Rice "has labrum damage" in his shoulder. One day after essentially saying Jay Glazer's report was wrong, Carroll confirmed it. His admission casts doubt on his sunny Sunday assertion that "if you had watched (Rice) practice, you would think he could play." A torn labrum sent teammate John Carlson to injured reserve in August, though Carroll insists the injuries are "different situations." At best, Rice is questionable for Week 3. Sep 19 - 1:49 PM

Chad Johnson had it a few years ago in preseason. Played the whole year and never had surgery...

In Highschool I played goalie for my ice hockey team for about 3 months which was the end of the season with this injury....It really limited my range of motion on my stick side, but I managed to get by while masking the injury....

it is what it is....go out and play...
