zekez
So Gore was supposed to be my top back this year in a PPR league. Problem is, he has been mediocre at best. What are you other Gore owners doing? Keep plugging him in and hope for the best? Let him sit on the bench until he shows some life? Try to trade him away? My other backs are alright (Tolbert, Blount) and I have great WRs. I'm leaning towards benching him until he shows me something. Thoughts? detlef
First order of business for me is to bench D Will, I can't bench both. I thought I had a nice 3 back set-up with Foster, Gore, and DWill. Turns out, not so much.

TheAdonis2010
i think the last thing you want to do is put him out for trade.....i have him in 2 other leagues i am in and thought i "stole" him in the early 3rd round of both....i think you have to roll with him unless you have a better rb2 to sub in for him for the time being..... i would still start him over tolbert in one league i am going to start rice and tate...and either move gore to my flex or bench him....in other league i am screwed because i have blount and gore and my next best rb is addai =( so hes staying in i know this is a very redundant statement but i always treat fantasy players like the stock market..buy low sell high good luck and lets go gore! Double Agent
I'd make sure you have Kendall Hunter.
zekez
I'd make sure you have Kendall Hunter. Normally I'd agree, but this o-line hasn't shown me anything. If Gore is a bust there's no reason to think Hunter will do any better in his place.

What would this matter? Do you get different points based on where he plays? If he's starting, he's starting. Does it make you feel better to see Rice and Tate at RB spots with Gore at Flex? They score the same points as Rice and Gore at RB and Tate at Flex, no?

It might take the pressure off of Gore to play in the flex spot. Kind of like moving someone down in the batting order.

He just meant he would be starting Rice and Tate as his definite RBs, and might possibly bench Gore unless he can't find anyone else for his flex position. Goopster24
Glad I stayed away from Gore. Was leaning heavily towards him and went WR instead. Didn't stop me from grabbing Davis in one league though... Early though, think things will turn around a bit soon.

I backed Gore up with Hunter in the league I have him and even took a flyer on him in a league that I didn't. But I couldn't afford to waste the roster spot and needed to dump him for the Deckers and Deon Branchs of the world who might be able to score me some points right now. Grits and Shins
In my local I'd probably trade you D Will for Gore. In the one league that I do have Gore I've benched him until further notice - but I have Hillis and Benson to start

They score the same points as Rice and Gore at RB and Tate at Flex, no? it certainly matters.....as someone between your comment and this reply pointed out...you HAVE to start 2 rbs....if you move gore to the flex you can bench him for a better option at WR (or TE depending on your league settings) on a given week....so yes it makes me feel alot better seeing that its funny though you say that because when i watch these fantasy pregame shows in the start em sit em thing ....and they are like...."hes worth a start as your flex"....then i say the same thing, what does it matter i didnt mean that he is a good start as a flex , but not at rb.....merely that in my case i have "downgraded" him from my rb2 position down to my flex and could very possibly be swapped out for a WR this week and in the future
BS Miscreant
Fortunately, I got Gore in the 4th. I passed on him repeatedly because he's never worked out for me. I'm sitting there in the 4th thinking I really don't want this guy but how do I pass on a guy like Gore in the 4th round? Well, I have my answer. If he does work out, great. If not, F Jackson and Sproles will be my RB2 and Flex until forther notice. How important are those mid to late round picks?
joeAMMO
I benched him, i have Adrian Peterson, Ryan Mathews, Frank Gore and Reggie Bush, although I'm in the market for a replacement for Bush. Mathews is hit or miss however I'm starting him this week against KC. Gore has upside which maybe worth sitting on until he starts producing but he has been anything but impressive lately. If Gore is a bust there's no reason to think Hunter will do any better in his place. Gore may be contributing to how bad that O-line looks. The guy may be held together by duct tape at this point as many games as he's missed the last couple years. It certainly isn't reasonable to believe he's still explosive and Hunter is exactly that. lkirc
Gore has had 11 touches inside the 5 yard line in 2 games. While it is worrysome that he hasn't converted more, FF is all about opportunity. He will cash in eventually if he keeps getting those chances. Jackass
i gambled and rolled with him this week. might be time to end that strategy until SF shows they can score. ETA: just saw he fumbled on his own 5 yard line. that's not going to help either. Edited September 25, 2011 by Jackass
