Grits and Shins Posted September 22, 2011 Share Posted September 22, 2011 Lets see 'em ... if you had a do over, which draft picks and/or free agent moves would you already want to change? For me I drafted Larry Fitzgerald in the 2nd round for the 2nd year running. Now that isn't too terrible but last year Fitz was a disappointment for where I drafted him and I immediately after I drafted Larry I immediately thought "I should have drafted Greg Jennings". At this point in the year Fitz is slightly ahead of Gennings and sadly both are just barely in the top 20. I think Gennings may be the more consistent performer - time will obviously tell. After reading that Daniel Thomas wasn't impressive in preseason and wasn't even close to being healthy enough to play week 1 I cut him. I figured he was worth stashing for several weeks, thinking the Fins drafted him too high to not use him. I have only minor regrets so far draft/waiver-wise. I wish I had drafted Boldin instead of Santonio Holmes in round 6. They will probably finish close enough in points at the end of the year, but in my mind I trust Boldin more. I slightly regret not dropping Kolb and picking up Fitzpatrick, but was reluctant to drop Kolb because I also have Larry Fitzgerald. If Kolb goes nuts, that combination would be deadly. Gave up too soon to save some $ for the end of the draft, ending up spending almost as much for Mike Williams (TB) that I could have had Forte for.............just damn. I had no intention of taking him pre-draft in my main league but in the 3rd round of a 12-team non-PPR all the other options looked worse. So with Charles, McFadden and Manning for my first three picks I was very happy. Now I would rather of had Brady, McFadden and Vincent Jackson, doh! Looking back, I'm confident that I wouldn't have taken anyone different with that pick. Here's hoping DWill or D. Thomas can pick up the slack. I've been burned a lot in the past by trading early on and it just stings when you either drop or trade away someone who later either lives up to expectations or they blow up as a sleeper. I'm thinking about changing my FF name to "Team Red Cross"....ww has been good to me...picked up Cam and Sproles...and somehow managed to start 2 - 0....but this horseshoe in my arse is getting really uncomfortable.... I'm pretty deep at RB (Starks, MJD, Beanie, JStewart and Gore) ... we start two ... and pretty stacked at the top for WRs (MAustin, BMarshall, Fitz, Julio Jones and Plaxico) ... we start four ... so ... I traded MJD, MAustin and Plaxico for Andre Johnson ... MJD and AJ had identical contracts MAustin was about to roll off of his (and probably get prohibitively expensive for me next year) So, now I'm playing RBBC for two spots between Starks, Beanie, Gore and JStew ... and my weekly WRs are AJohnson, BMarshall, Fitz and Julio ... feeling pretty good about this league ... barring injuries ... :fingerscrossed: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was happy at the time but talk about a disappointing backfield. I still have hope for SJax and Jones if they can get healthy but DWill has been tossed out like yesterday's trash.
