Ditkaless Wonders
Both are culteral touchstones I well remember. This will be president Obama's only chance to honor a Bears team during his term or terms as President, unless Charles Woodson intercepts the Bears bus on its way in from the airport
Bronco Billy
Maybe he can honor the 1908 Cubs with a White House visit next week
The Wolf
So...the White House mourned the loss of the Challenger for 26 years? How is it possible that this visit wasn't rescheduled much earlier? How do you celebrate this now without Walter Payton?

Gdawg
He is a Sox fan. Sort of, since he doesn't even know the name of the old stadium: http://www.midwestsportsfans.com/2009/07/p...ominskey-field/ and this: http://content.usatoday.com/communities/da...ominskey-park/
Goopster24
Obama is a diehard White Sox fan since the day he moved to Chicago. Would never question his fandom, he rips the Cubbies any chance he gets. Most White Sox fans here in Chicago don't know their own stadium. I'm sure he was just suffering from fatigue when he made these remarks, after all it is terribly tiring to run all 57 states

monster2333
Most White Sox fans here in Chicago don't know their own stadium. I don't blame them - it's a dump and the neighborhood sucks.
Goopster24
I don't blame them - it's a dump and the neighborhood sucks. I actually enjoy The Cell quite a bit and I'm a Cubs fans. Few stadiums are in neighborhoods like Wrigleyville or in the heart of a city like Chicago. Location sure is annoying but food is great, not a bad seat in the park, and when fans come and there's a good matchup, it's a solid time. Oh yeah, tix are dirt cheap. BeeR
How do you celebrate this now without Walter Payton? First thing that came to my mind. Just for the love of God don't play that ultra-retarded "super bowl shuffle" BS. :gag:

RattlerB
I don't blame them - it's a dump and the neighborhood sucks. The Cell is actually a pretty nice stadium, but you're right... that neighborhood is absolutely awful. Now Wrigley... that place is a true dump and should be condemned. I've seen better minor league parks.
